LIBE
From 4 to 12 November, the Commissioners-designate faced confirmation hearings before the European Parliament’s committees, in advance of Parliament’s vote on the College of Commissioners as a whole on 27 November.
The LIBE Committee participated in 11 hearings. It took the lead on the hearing for Magnus Brunner, the Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration, and co-led the hearings for Commissioner[1]designate Michael McGrath - Democracy, Justice and Rule of Law, and Hadja Lahbib - Preparedness and Crisis Management; Equality. LIBE was also an invited committee for the hearings of the Commissioners-designate Glenn Micallef - Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport, Dubravka Šuica - Mediterranean, Maria Luís Albuquerque - Financial Services and the Savings and Investments Union, Jozef Síkela - International Partnerships, Marta Kos - Enlargement, Piotr Serafin - Budget, Anti-Fraud and Public Administration, Roxana Mînzatu - Executive Vice-President for People, Skills and Preparedness, and Henna Virkkunen - Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy.
