The viral Uniqlo bag has just been given a bloke-friendly update - ideal if you haven't got him an Xmas gift yet
For a long time crossbody bags were synonymous with utility rather than style. The wearable pouches screamed Glastonbury more than Fashion Week, and as a result options were rather limited: dull colours, endless zips and cheap fabric reminiscent of the waterproof trousers you wore on that 'fun' childhood hiking trip.
But that all changed when Uniqlo released a bag so useful it immediately went viral, and has become the store's best-selling bag of all time.
The original Uniqlo crossbody bag
You'll know the one. It's a sort of bum bag/shoulder bag hybrid with inner pockets so you can stash the essential bits in an easy-to-find place. And it's everywhere. Priced at just £14.90, it's not uncommon for people (including the YOU team) to have bought multiple bags in different colours.
The round mini shoulder bag has previously seen a corduroy update, as well as a bigger, quilted redesign earlier this year too.
Well, the Japanese brand is back at it again as it has just launched an even bigger version with pockets. Seven pockets, to be exact, that are on the inside and the outside of the bag. It even has a sleeve inside for a tablet or device, and – get this – the side pockets can be adjusted to fit whatever needs to be stashed in there.

It's currently only available in black and olive green, but if it's any bit as successful as it's predecessors, we can certainly imagine more colours will join the line up.
Although all of the Uniqlo bags mentioned are unisex, we think the latest design has a bit more of a masculine edge, and would especially make a great Christmas present for a special boy or man in your life. (If you do need more gift inspiration for him, we've got you covered here.)
