GRANVILLE – Saturday, the Teays Valley track and field teams competed at the Granville Invitational. The girls’ team finished fifth with 60 points and the boys’ finished tenth with 26 points.
Katy Zang set a personal and school record in the 3200 event. She placed first with a time of 10:35.72.
In the discus event, Vikings’ Madison Burriss placed first with a throw of 96’ 8”. In the same event, her teammate, Sophia Seymour, placed fourth with a throw of 93’ 4”.
Brooklyn Herbert set a season best in the high jump when she placed first clearing a height of 5’ 0”.
The Lady Vikings’ 4x800 relay team of Addie Keplar, Grace Thanasack, Julie Charter, and Allison Dean finished third with a time of 10:23.99.
On the boys’ side, Drew Moore finished second in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 42.33.
On the pole vault Jackson Perry finished second with a height of 12’ 6”.
In shot put, Tristian Graham placed fifth with a throw of 43’ 9”. In the same event, Payton Conrad finished ninth with a throw of 40’ 11”.
