Walter Wayne Woman OBITUARY
Walter Wayne Woman OBITUARY
Wayne passed peacefully on March 27, 2025, at the age of 98. He was born to Walter and Cecelia Worman on February 21, 1927, in Fresno, CA. His life blessed all who knew him with an enduring example of love and commitment to God, his family and fellow man. He truly lived by the words of Philippians 2:3-5 and was guided by scripture and godly character all of his life. Wayne had a 40 year career with B of A. He excelled in his professional and private endeavors and was sought after by community boards and organizations for his insight and wisdom. He was a long-standing member of Foothill Community Church. He spent countless hours writing words of encouragement and visiting the infirm and those in need, always including a clever cartoon in hopes of brightening their day. He had what seemed to be a photographic memory of the birthdays of his friends and family, never missing an opportunity to send a card and, of course, a cartoon or two. He loved playing the Ukulele and had great fun entertaining his family and friends. With his beautiful bass voice, he enjoyed singing in church and community choirs for many years. He was a life-long hunter and outdoorsman, and was proud to have served in the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shawn, and son, Tom and survived by son Ken Worman (Judy), and daughters Ann Walters (John), Janet Carr (Mike), and Diane Holland (Fred). He was blessed with seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, with one on the way! A celebration of life will be held on April 26, 2025, at Foothill Community Church of Oroville, at 11:00 A.M. Arrangements are being entrusted to Scheer Memorial Chapel, 530-533-5255.
