Lightning's Victor Hedman: Records two helpers in win
Hedman logged two assists, including one on the power play, in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Flames.
Hedman also had four shots on net and two blocked shots. The Swedish blueliner racked up seven points over eight games in February and continues to be a top defenseman in fantasy for his all-around production. For the season, he's up to nine goals, 38 assists, 20 power-play points, 134 shots on net, 98 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating over 56 appearances.

Lightning's Erik Cernak: Provides breathing room with goal
Cernak scored a goal, added two hits and blocked two shots in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Flames.
Cernak had a somewhat surprising February with three goals and three assists over eight games. That makes it his most productive month of the campaign despite the limited number of contests. Overall, Cernak is at three goals, 13 assists, 47 shots on net, 117 hits, 72 blocked shots and a plus-25 rating through 52 appearances. He's two points away from matching his career-high 18 from the 2020-21 campaign, which came in a 46-game sample. Fantasy managers shouldn't roster Cernak for scoring potential -- it's his physicality and defense that appeal to those in deeper formats, though his playing style also comes with a high risk of injuries.

Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Best in NHL since early December
Vasilevskiy made 27 saves in a 3-0 win over Calgary on Thursday.
It was his fourth shutout of the season, as well as the 38th of his career. Vasilevskiy is on a seven-game win streak, and he's put up a 1.71 GAA and .944 save percentage in that span. In his last 10 games, he has a.949 save percentage. And since Dec. 5, Vasilevskiy leads the NHL with a .930 save percentage, and he's third with a 16.65 GSAx (goals-saved above expected). He may have started the season slowly, but he is clearly in elite form.

Lightning's Brandon Hagel: Seven-game, 13-point streak
Hagel scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 3-0 win over Calgary.
The goal -- his 29th -- went into the empty net. Hagel has a goal in each of his last three games, and he has points in seven consecutive games (seven goals, six assists). Hagel is now one goal from equaling his career mark of 30, which he set in 2022-23. And he's on pace to shatter last year's career point total (75). Hagel is on pace for 95 points, including at least 40 goals.

Lightning's Nikita Kucherov: Lucky goal extends streak
Kucherov scored a power-play goal Thursday in a 3-0 win over the Flames.
The puck simply follows this guy. Kucherov got a massive break when his cross-ice pass from a step off the goal line went in off Mackenzie Weegar's toe. The goal stood as the winner. Kucherov is riding a nine-game, 13-point streak (four goals, nine assists), and he continues to sit third on the NHL scoring list with 86 points (27 goals, 59 assists).

Lightning's Jonas Johansson: Expects to dress as backup
Johansson (lower body) expects to dress as the backup netminder for Thursday's home game against the Flames, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Although Andrei Vasilevskiy will operate as the starter for Thursday's matchup, Johansson should be available, as he appears to have moved past the lower-body issue that forced him to miss the last eight games. The Lightning begin next week with a back-to-back set that includes games against the Panthers and Blue Jackets on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, and it wouldn't be surprising to see Johansson between the pipes for one of those matchups.

Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Set to start against Calgary
Vasilevskiy was the first goalie off during Thursday's morning skate, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports, indicating that he'll draw the start at home against the Flames.
Vasilevskiy has picked up wins in each of his last six starts, posting a 2.00 GAA and .937 save percentage across that span. He made a road start against the Flames on Dec. 12 and turned aside 19 of 22 shots en route to an 8-3 victory. Calgary is averaging just 2.65 goals this season -- the fifth-lowest mark in the NHL -- so it wouldn't be surprising to see Vasilevskiy's hot streak continue Thursday.

Lightning's Anthony Angello: Traded Wednesday
Angello was traded to Tampa Bay from Nashville on Wednesday in exchange for Jesse Ylonen.
Angello has seven goals and 14 points in 41 appearances with AHL Milwaukee in 2024-25. The 28-year-old hasn't played in the NHL since the 2021-22 campaign.

Lightning's Zemgus Girgensons: Pockets helper in win
Girgensons registered an assist and two hits in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Oilers.
Girgensons has two points over his last three games, which follows a stretch of 33 contests where he failed to register a point. This is likely simple course correction for the 31-year-old forward, who has spent much of the campaign in a bottom-six role as a physical and defensive player. He's now at four points, 62 shots on net, 112 hits and 31 PIM across 57 appearances. He was listed on the second line in the Lightning's 11-forward, seven-defensemen lineup Tuesday, but there's no guarantee he sticks in that spot in the long run.

Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Nets equalizer Tuesday
Eyssimont scored a goal on six shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Oilers.
Eyssimont has a goal and two assists during a three-game point streak. His six shots Tuesday represented a season high. He's trending upward, but as long as he remains on the fourth line, the 28-year-old has a low ceiling. He's at 10 points, 95 shots, 77 hits, 42 PIM and a minus-1 rating through 53 appearances.

Lightning's Matt Tomkins: Returns to minors
Tomkins was reassigned to AHL Syracuse on Wednesday.
Tomkins was with Tampa Bay because Jonas Johansson (lower body) has been unavailable. This roster move might indicate that Johansson is ready to return, but Tampa Bay is off until Thursday, so there would still be time for the Lightning to recall Tomkins or another netminder if that's not the case. The 30-year-old Tomkins has a 2.54 GAA and a .911 save percentage in 22 outings with Syracuse this season.

Lightning's Nick Paul: Four-game goal streak
Paul scored a goal in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Oilers.
Paul extended his goal streak to four games and four goals. He hasn't put up an assist in 15 games, but he has seven goals in that span, and he's on place for 26 goals, which would narrowly top the career high of 24 markers he set in 2023-24. Paul has scored more goals than he has delivered helpers in his past two seasons, and it looks like he could do the same again this year. He has 18 goals and 14 assists in 51 games this season.

Lightning's Brandon Hagel: Six-game, 13-point streak
Hagel scored a goal and registered five shots in a 4-1 win over the Oilers on Tuesday.
Hagel has delivered a six-game, 13-point scoring streak that includes six goals, and he has put up a goal in five of those six games. How impressive has he been this season? Hagel is tied with Mark Scheifele for 12th in the NHL in scoring with 65 points, and the Jets' pivot continues to be lauded for his dominant excellence this season. Hagel's also only two points behind superstar Mikko Rantanen. Ride this wave -- it looks sustainable. Hagel is just 26 years old, so this isn't lightning in an older player's bottle.

Lightning's Victor Hedman: Consistent goal scoring every year
Hedman scored a goal Tuesday in a 4-1 win over the Oilers.
Hedman scored on a slap shot from the point on a 5-on-3 power play. He now has nine goals, and he's one snipe shy of putting up double-digit goals for the 10th time in his last 12 seasons. Hedman's 45 points put him squarely in the top-10 in the NHL. He also has 96 blocked shots, which projects to 140 on the season -- that would be a new career mark if he can sustain the effort.

Lightning's Nikita Kucherov: Eight-game, 12-point streak
Kucherov put up two assists Tuesday in a 4-1 win over the Oilers.
One came on the power play. Kucherov stretched his scoring streak to eight games and 12 points, including nine helpers. His 59 assists are second-best in the NHL; his 85 points put him third in the league and just two points from the NHL lead. Kucherov won't equal his incredible 144-point season from last year, but he should easily top 100 points for the fifth time in the last seven seasons. He has 185 shots, and 33 of his points have come with the man advantage.

Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Sixth straight win
Vasilevskiy made 23 saves in a 4-1 win over Edmonton on Tuesday.
The only goal that got past him came on a one-timer from the stick of Leon Draisaitl on a first-period power play. Vasilevskiy has been rock solid since the end of January. He has put up six consecutive starts, and he hasn't lost in regulation in his last eight games (7-0-1). Since the 4 Nations break, Vasy has allowed just one goal in each of his two starts. The break is exactly what the busy superstar needed to recharge his batteries for the stretch run.

Lightning's Jonas Johansson: Will not suit up
Johansson (lower body) is not in uniform for Tuesday's game versus the Oilers, Gabby Shirley of FanDuel Sports Network Florida & Sun reports.
Andrei Vasilevskiy is starting, with Matt Tomkins filling the backup role. Johansson will miss his eighth straight contest, and it's not yet clear when he'll be able to return to practice. Until Tomkins is reassigned to AHL Syracuse, it's safe to assume Johansson will remain out of the lineup.
