Trenin logged two assists, four hits and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Canadiens.
Trenin had helpers on goals by Liam Ohgren and Frederick Gaudreau in this contest. This was Trenin's second multi-point effort of the season. The physical forward is up to four goals, six assists, 43 shots on net, 132 hits, 27 PIM and a plus-7 rating over 46 appearances. He's done little to earn fantasy attention, though he may carry some value in formats that strongly reward physical play.

Wild's Frederick Gaudreau: Extends point streak in win
Gaudreau scored a goal on three shots and logged an assist in Thursday's 4-0 win over Montreal.
Gaudreau set up Liam Ohgren's tally for the game's first goal then finished matters with an empty-netter. It was the third multi-point effort of the season for Gaudreau, who has points in four consecutive outings. The third-line forward is up to 10 goals and 13 assists through 52 appearances.

Wild's Devin Shore: Scores first of season
Shore scored a goal on one shot, blocked three shots and delivered three hits in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Canadiens.
Shore made it a 3-0 game early in the third period when he picked Alex Newhook's pocket and beat Jakub Dobes to the stick side. It was the first goal of the season for Shore. The fourth-line winger has three points (one goal, two assists) over 30 outings and points in each of the last two games played.

Wild's Marco Rossi: Two-pointer in win
Rossi scored a goal on one shot and logged an assist in Thursday's 4-0 win over Montreal. He also blocked a shot and recorded a hit.
Rossi was left unmarked by Montreal defenders and beat Jakub Dobes with a wrist shot from the left faceoff circle. It was the first tally in seven games and 18th goal of the season for Rossi, who later assisted on Devin Shore's third-period tally. Rossi's 12 points over 12 games helped the Wild overcome a recent 12-game stretch without star forward Kirill Kaprizov (lower-body injury), and Minnesota will need him to do that again. Kaprizov is facing surgery and a four-week absence. Rossi has 46 points through 52 games.

Wild's Liam Ohgren: Opens scoring in win
Ohgren scored a goal on two shots and had a hit in Thursday's 4-0 win over Montreal.
Ohgren gave Minnesota the lead early in the second period when he took advantage of Montreal goalie Jakub Dobes, who had lost his stick, and beat the netminder over his right shoulder. It was the first goal of the season for Ohgren, the 2022 first-round draft pick who was called up from AHL Iowa two weeks ago for his third stint this season. The 21-year-old forward told Joe Smith of The Athletic that he's feeling more comfortable in the NHL during his latest callup and understands there's more time and space to make plays.

Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Shines in hometown win
Fleury turned aside all 19 shots faced in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Canadiens.
It was an emotional night for Fleury, who may have played his last game in Montreal, which is about a hour's drive from his hometown of Sorel, Quebec. Canadiens fans serenaded the local boy, who recorded his first shutout of the season and 76th of his career in the NHL. Fleury improved to 11-5-1 and lowered his goals-against average to 2.60 through 18 appearances (16 starts). No longer a No. 1 goalie, the 40-year-old still has skills and has won five of his last seven starts. The Wild, who have won three straight, next play Saturday night in Ottawa.

Wild's Devin Shore: Picks up helper in win
Shore notched an assist in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
The helper ended a 12-game point drought for Shore. The 30-year-old has also been scratched three times in that span, and his grip on an NHL roster spot is tenuous at best. He has played in five contests since clearing waivers Jan. 14, and if he is in action for each of the Wild's last five games prior to the 4 Nations Face-Off, he would require waivers again to be reassigned to AHL Iowa at a later date. The 30-year-old is not a factor in fantasy -- he has two helpers, 20 shots on net, 37 hits and 19 blocked shots over 29 appearances this season.

Wild's Jakub Lauko: First point since return
Lauko notched an assist and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
The helper was Lauko's first point in six appearances since he returned from missing a month due to a lower-body injury. The 24-year-old has resumed a fourth-line role, and given the Wild's reliance on the top six, it's unlikely Lauko makes much of an impact on offense moving forward. He's at five points, 24 shots on net, 25 PIM and 57 hits across 30 appearances this season.

Wild's Frederick Gaudreau: Provides assist Wednesday
Gaudreau logged an assist in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
Gaudreau has two goals and two assists over his last five appearances. The 31-year-old center has had a couple of good stretches this season, so he may be worth considering as a short-term addition to fill out a fantasy roster's depth. He's produced 21 points, 68 shots on net, 31 blocked shots, 28 hits and a minus-1 rating over 51 outings in 2024-25.

Eriksson Ek notched a power-play assist and three shots on goal in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
Eriksson Ek has a point in three straight contests (two goals, one assist). The 28-year-old center's increase in productivity has come with a move to the top line. He hasn't been able to replicate his numbers from the last two years, but he has nine goals, 14 helpers, 101 shots on net, 60 hits and a plus-8 rating over 37 appearances. Eriksson Ek should continue to offer supporting offense and a physical edge for fantasy.

Wild's Mats Zuccarello: Puts up power-play helper
Zuccarello notched a power-play assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
Zuccarello continues to impress in January with four goals and 10 helpers, including five power-play assists, through 13 games. The 37-year-old winger has had to play a more significant part of the offense during a couple of absences for Kirill Kaprizov (lower body), who is unlikely to play again before late February. Zuccarello is now at 12 goals, 24 helpers, 10 power-play points, 83 shots on net and a plus-6 rating through 38 appearances in a top-line role.

Wild's Marat Khusnutdinov: Snaps drought with goal
Khusnutdinov scored a goal on two shots in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
Khusnutdinov ended a 15-game dry spell with the opening tally 7:07 into the first period of Wednesday's contest. The 22-year-old continues to play in a fourth-line role, and while he's stuck in the lineup, the lack of offense has made him a non-factor in fantasy. For the season, Khusnutdinov is at five points -- one more than he had in 16 outings in 2023-24 -- while adding 25 shots on net, 36 hits, 29 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 48 appearances.

Wild's Marcus Foligno: Deposits empty-netter
Foligno scored an empty-net goal on two shots, added two hits and blocked two shots in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
Foligno has scored in three straight games and has four points in that span. The 33-year-old winger has not extended a point streak beyond four contests this season, so it's unlikely he'll be able to keep the good times rolling much longer. Foligno has offered depth scoring and physicality with 19 points, 165 hits, 54 shots on net and 51 PIM across 51 appearances in 2024-25.

Spurgeon scored a power-play goal and blocked three shots in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
Spurgeon has two goals and an assist over four contests since he returned from a lower-body injury. His goal Wednesday was his 400th career point, a milestone he achieved in his 903rd appearance. The defenseman looks to be in a groove and could give fantasy managers a boost prior to the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off. Spurgeon has six goals, 16 points (four on the power play), 65 shots on net, 62 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 36 outings in a top-four role this season.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Concedes once in win
Gustavsson allowed just one goal on 33 shots in Wednesday's 3-1 victory over Toronto.
Gustavsson has bounced back from a difficult mid-January to secure wins in each of his last two outings while posting a 1.51 GAA. The 26-year-old netminder has seen the bulk of the workload for the Wild this season and should continue to do so ahead of veteran Marc-Andre Fleury, who will get the starting nod against the Habs on Thursday in the second half of a back-to-back set.

Fleury will get the starting nod on the road versus Montreal on Thursday, Kevin Falness of KFAN reports.
Fleury will guard the cage against his hometown club for the final time on his retirement tour. The 40-year-old backstop has put up solid numbers this year, going 10-5-1 with a 2.76 GAA and .904 save percentage. With the Wild heading into a back-to-back, it will be Filip Gustavsson between the pipes for Wednesday's road clash with Toronto before Fleury gets the nod Thursday.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Expected to face Toronto
Gustavsson is set to start on the road against Toronto on Wednesday, per Kevin Falness of KFAN 1003.
Gustavsson saved 18 of 20 shots en route to a 4-2 win over Chicago on Sunday. He has a 19-10-3 record, 2.61 GAA and .913 save percentage in 33 appearances in 2024-25. He faced last faced the Maple Leafs on Nov. 3 when he turned aside 27 of 28 shots (.964 save percentage) in a 2-1 overtime victory.
