I am Principal Software Engineering Manager for the Azure SQL Product at Microsoft, where I lead a world-class team driving cloud-scale innovation and delivering mission-critical features to SQL customers across the globe. With over 17 years at Microsoft, my primary focus is architecting solutions for Azure SQL Deployment, ensuring high availability and seamless delivery for our users.I’m passionate about modern, cloud-native development practices. I championed the adoption of Docker within my team, transforming how we build, test, and deploy services. Thanks to containerization, we now deliver consistent environments, automate workflows, and accelerate release cycles. My expertise with Docker also extends beyond engineering—I regularly share insights through detailed articles on DZone (MVB), helping developers worldwide tackle real-world challenges in AI, containerizing SQL Server, performance optimization, and integration with Azure services.I’m an active Senior IEEE member in the Seattle region, frequently serving as technical chair for conferences, and recently chaired the IEEE AI Summit and its lightning talk sessions. I’ve delivered AI workshops and received the AI Innovator Award from Washington Senator Lisa Wellman. My commitment to advancing technology includes serving as a judge for hackathons such as Agent AI, Fabric AI, and Cosmos DB AI on Devpost.I manage several popular open-source projects on GitHub, speak regularly at industry conferences on Microservices, AI, and Cloud Computing, and actively mentor young engineers on ADPList. Recognized among the top 1% of developers in Cloud and AI, I am proud to be a member of the prestigious Docker Captain program for my ongoing contributions to the container community.
