After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Exceptionally clean and modern. Everything you need for a short stay was available (plenty of utensils, grocery etc.) A fantastic outside space with great views. Hot tub always 40degrees. Location for the waterfall walk was incredible. So close to the village amenities. Lots of wild life around which was fantastic-we didn’t even mind the cockerels waking us up. An added extra was the brewery near by that served food from a stand on the Sat night and also did live music that night too. No complaints!

There is nothing that did not hit the mark with this property.

Its clear dogs aren't just allowed here, they are extremely welcome! It was a delight to bring our dog to stay with us and we felt all the staff were very welcoming and accommodating - then even offered to shuttle us to and from dinner at The Kennels. The Farmer, Butcher Chef did an amazing Sunday roast. We loved the walks around the area along the country walkways through the fields to reach the Aerodrome and Tinwood Estate vineyard - highly recommend going for a tasting.

Unfortunately, whilst there are lots of EV chargers, only two can be used by non-BP members and they were consistently being used by non-EV cars as a parking spot. I understand this is difficult for the staff to enforce but as a result we were never able to charge our car.

We have visited Owston Hall before, it is a beautiful hotel with vast well kept grounds. It is very pet friendly which is great! They provided our dog with a bed and bowls in the room. The room was large with a great bathroom & toiletries. We didn’t eat at the hotel but the menu looked fabulous. It was great value for a last minute overnight stay with our dog.

Our room was just okay, the bed was two pushed together & the pillows were very hard, I didn’t sleep very well, this was mainly due to the guest above us in the early hours knocking things over and banging… which isn’t the hotels fault. It is a shame the spa won’t be opening until at least late 2026.

"Attitude of host." Full payment was made through booking.com website and I received an email confirmation with a breakdown of the payment, which included rent, VAT and a cleaning cost. While I was driving to Wythenshawe which is 220 miles away from home, I received a text massage from the host asking for a refundable damage deposit and a non refundable cleaning fee. I had to stop and text her back, explaining that I had already paid the full amount as per her booking.com advertisement. She then sent another message saying it had nothing to do with booking.com and that the payment should be made directly to her bank account. I paid the damage deposit as she requested but refused to pay the cleaning fee, as it was already included in the initial payment. She demanded the additional cleaning fee, threatening not to provide the check- in details unless I paid. This made my entire journey stressful. she didn't provide the check-in details until I arrived at the property and argued with her. I am a Genius Level 2 customer on booking.com and have made several holiday home bookings throughout the U.K. This was my first time having such a bad experience. Although the property was clean, the host's greediness made the stay unpleasant. I still don't understand why I was asked to pay for cleaning the property, as nothing was mentioned about this in her advertisement. I would not recommend this place to anyone, as the host might ask future clients to pay council tax or water bills after they made the payment !
