朝食付き唐津里山の宿&ヨガ兎と亀 ligger i Karatsu, inom 49 km från Fukuoka Yafuoku! This guesthouse was a pleasant surprise with a very kind and generous host, home cooked breakfast, free water/tea, very clean amenities and quiet nights in a tastefully decorated old Japanese house. Definitely recommendable!

I really enjoyed the location of the hotel, it’s like a minute walk to the station, and the size of the bunk beds was really nice(a lot wider that a lot of places). Also the cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and the decor in the “lobby” area was really nice. As well the female room I stayed in was honestly really enjoyable since I found the bed really comfortable and the washroom to be really nice. As well all of the workers I met were very nice and had pretty good English so if you have questions about stuff I recommend asking them, I asked for directions to Yobuko and the lady made sure to look up the bus times to get there for me. I also really enjoyed the breakfast that you can include, although technically I chose to pay to upgrade the set every morning but it’s really not that much. I quite liked the vibe of the restaurant, very chill in the morning which is nice as I need my morning coffee to survive. It’s also quite nice as in walking distance is the castle and a really pretty Shrine. The castle is a little bit longer with the sun and heat in the summer but it’s really not far at all. Also just beside the castle is where I caught a little boat over to the island to site-see but a word of advice is start with the island as the ferry runs like once a hour and I got too nervous about missing the last one so I didn’t walk around the island as much I would have liked.

The hotel's proximity to the station is its first major advantage, though initially, I had some trouble locating it due to Google Maps' somewhat unclear directions. The convenience of having a well-stocked supermarket at the station proved invaluable during my stay. The room itself exceeded my expectations. Being a newly opened establishment, everything was pristine and new. I particularly appreciated their choice of MUJI products throughout the room, which added a touch of minimalist elegance. The in-room microwave was a practical addition that I used frequently. The attention to cleanliness was impressive – the housekeeping team maintained impeccable standards throughout my stay. What makes this property unique is the innovative combination of a barbershop and café on the ground floor, creating a lively atmosphere from morning till night. This vibrant setup contributed to the hotel's welcoming ambiance. When I needed to extend my stay, the staff was remarkably accommodating and helpful in arranging the additional night. The peaceful environment and comfortable setting made it an ideal place for productivity – I managed to complete a significant amount of work during my stay. The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable, staff is friendly too. There are vending machine for re-heat food, coin-operated washing machine and dryer, microwave oven and unlimited coffee at the lobby. There is a nice cafe in front of the hotel where we had light breakfast. We had a wonderful stay!

Check-in process was easy via touch-screen counter. Room is clean and well arranged. Spacious enough to fit 2 additional chairs and a small table. Bed is tall enough to stow luggage underneath. Eco-friendly refillable shampoo and soap pump-bottles instead of single use bottles. Wifi is fast and stable. There are 4 laundry and dryers located in the airy lobby area instead of some little room. Included buffet breakfast has hot cooked food. Overall a very well organised and located hotel. Would definitely stay again if visiting Saga.
