You can see why it’s rated so highly. The facilities are exceptional, staff is very kind and can communicate well especially if you don’t speak Japanese, and it’s in a good location near the subway. They allow you to rent out an Apple TV, rice cooker, hot pot, etc for free. The kitchen has a very strong fan so the smell doesn’t get everywhere. The shower feels great. There is a washer dryer in unit.

The living room space with the free drinks and snacks and games and records was amazing!! It also was open late and they have sake and wine on tap (for a small price). Also probably the best shower I’ve ever used in my entire life! They also were so helpful with calling us a taxi. It also just feels a bit more communal than a lot of other places we stayed in Japan. Also aesthetically a beautiful place! The value for the money was also great.

The hotel is fabulous. The room we got was very large and the bath was awesome with powered water flow. Location is great and very close to Kurasoma Oike station(3min walk) and from there just pick where to go. Breakfast is served to you, Japanese or American. No room service but it was not important to us because we were out most of the day. The hotel is very modern. The staff we’re great and always helpful.

    Excellent location. Many write that it is difficult to get around Kyoto from here but they must be lazy. Nijo station is in 5 minutes walking distance and from there you can get wherever you want to. The staff is always cheerful and ready to help and accommodate your requests.
