I love the feel of ubud.
I love the feel of ubud. It’s cooler than Kuta and the monkeys and rice paddys make it less rushed and commercial. It’s definitely a place to chill, go to a purification ceremony, make a silver ring or do any number of artistic endeavours. You have to try Chora on jl Bisma. Their food and service is outstanding.

Ubud is a great place to experience Balinese culture. You are surrounded by temples, rice paddies, rainforests, waterfalls and temples. We stayed in 4 different resorts over 13 nights. The variety of food and quality of the restaurants is amazing. So much to do and see in Ubud.

Ubud central is a busy tourist town - traffic often slow - easy to walk around, and easy to get out of town to rice paddies and greener quieter places.
Lots of places to eat and tourist shopping.
A good variety of tours are available.
Walking over uneven surfaces as pavements are not in good condition so you need flat shoes and look where your stepping. Stepping off the gutter is a big step and the stairs are often big steps too.
Footpaths are narrow so going around other tourists, stepping off the path for pot holes, poles is common.
Mozzies were around - next time I would take a plug in mozzie repellent for my room.
Love eating at Indus and Cantina Rooftop & Naughty Nuris ribs I could have eaten everyday
Best tours we did was the Ubud Walking Tour & Ubud Bird Walk - we loved doing a silver class - it was fun - we went out of town to a small family business -Ondox Sliver.
Grab was so easy to use - cars and scooter (helmet provided) - quick, cheap and easy as payment is set up.
Modern & old, derelict & abandoned buildings sit side by side, lots of building work as Ubud tries to keep up with tourists needs, expect rubbish in places but businesses work hard to keep their areas clean. Westerners are well catered too but I prefer to eat local and support Balinese run businesses.
It’s a lovely place - I prefer it to the beaches

Green green and green , beautiful place .
Green green and green , beautiful place . Peaceful, pleasant, full of things to discover, you must stay in Ubud minimum 5 days . In my opinion Ubud is the heart of Bali . All the atracción are beautiful except Monkey forest not recommended, is dangerous , monkey can be very aggressive not fun at all , beside Your see monkey everywhere no need to go to the forest . Other thing get you own zaron and take it with you everywhere so you don’t need to buy o rent when you visiting the temples specially the water temple if you want to get into the water you are allowed if you wearing your own zaron . Also get spray for the mosquitos . And finally don’t over pay when you do shopping , bargain put price %50 lower 😊

Ubud is one of the best places to enjoy Babi Guling and the variety of dining options is great. The central part is very busy but you can enjoy peace and tranquillity on one of the many picturesque rice field walks. My best buy this trip was a delicious medium sized durian for 70k.

We stayed in a villa with a private pool and it was one of the most gorgeous hotels we’ve stayed at. It was so clean and beautiful. The pool was lovely and the trees/plants enabled total privacy. The bed was comfy and overlooked the pool, which was so lovely to wake up to. The bathroom was big and spacious and the air con was amazing, kept us cool throughout the night. We really did not want to leave.
The staff were amazing and so kind/professional at all times. Thank you so much!!
We stayed at the private pool villa which was amazing and really beautiful. The service was however unparalleled in every way. We had the option to have a floating breakfast everyday without additional charge. The minibar was complimentary and was restocked everyday. When I was feeling a little ill the staff surprised me with a flower bath. The staff was probably the best thing about this hotel as they were there for us 24/7, whatever we needed!
The best you can stay in Ubud area. The breakfast is excellent and covers all tastes. The staff is polite and willing to serve you. The facilities are around the mountain and the river in the nature. The spa and the team are experts. We stayed two people in the villa with private pool and mountain view. I highly recommend it! Thanks for the perfect stay Royal Pita Maha !
This is the best place we’ve been on Bali. Just at the outskirts of Ubud. We had the family villa with private pool. Putu helped us with everything we needed or responded quick, and the breakfasts were a gem every morning.
Instead of some villas this one is just off the main road, making the traffic noise less.
I booked this stay last minute after not liking my previous hotel. Arya is an amazing hotel! i loved everything about it and look forward to staying again. This is one of the best hotels in Ubud!
