I recently had the pleasure of visiting Tashkent, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The city's rich blend of history and modernity is captivating. I loved exploring the stunning Arches, the beautiful Khast Imam Complex, and the bustling Chorsu Bazaar, where I could immerse myself in the local culture and cuisine.
The public transportation system was efficient and easy to navigate, making it simple to get around and discover the various neighborhoods. The local people were friendly and hospitable, eager to share their culture and traditions.
While Tashkent is a city on the rise, with ongoing development, some areas could benefit from more green spaces and improved infrastructure. However, this only adds to its charm as a city in transition.
Overall, Tashkent is a unique destination that offers a fascinating glimpse into Uzbekistan's history and culture. I highly recommend visiting for anyone looking to adventure off the beaten path!

It is a big place in Uzbekistan, I travel to Bukhara and Samarkhand from 🌹taskhent. Language is the basic barrier using local Taxi is also little difficult as the location of Taxi would be very difficult to understand. Local people are excellent however communication is a crisis to make it more friendly. There must be more English speaking people must be available.

I love big cities but Tashkent is very different to most others!
If you, like me, like exploring on foot be prepared for long distances along wide boulevards, I totally underestimated the distances from A to B on the map!
Tashkent has the world's oldest Quran, the Othman Quran and the world's coolest Metro station, Kosmonavtlar, a shrine to Soviet cosmonauts! Exit the station and you'll find one of my other two favourite Soviet left overs, an awesome memorial to Yuri Gagarin!
My other Soviet favourite is the Hotel Uzbekistan, don't miss a cup of green tea in the 17th floor bar! The Chorsu Bazaar is also a Tashkent highlight!
I think Tashkent is underrated but don't underestimate the distances!

Nice hotel with really friendly staff accepting both cards and cash (not a must in Uzbekistan). Daily room service, very quiet hotel right in the centre of Tashkent. Easy access to underground and beautiful parks.
This hotel works under Islamic rules so they ask not to bring alcohol beyond reception.
Rooms are small but cosy and have everything you may need- table, kettle, good bathroom with basic toiletries.
Breakfast is nice and differs every day.
Iroda, who works at reception is an absolute star!
I would highly recommend this place if you're going to Tashkent. The location is very central and it is easy to get to pretty much anywhere in the city by foot or by public transport. The breakfast was impressive: there was a huge buffet, featuring Uzbek, European and Asian options as well as omelette and waffle stations. The staff were very friendly and competent. Overall one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Uzbekistan and very good value for money.
Mirzo Boutique is a very well designed boutique hotel. Loved the historic references to Uzbekistan’s Silk Road past. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, and the room overlooked the lovely gardens. Location is great, close to Chorsu Bazaar and Tashkent City Park. Hotel also provides all the complimentary toiletries etc which was really helpful as the airline lost my bag!
Exceptional. A brand new hotel with great amenities and is immaculately clean. Location is perfect with easy access to Tashkent city mall and metro. Very pleasantly surprised by this hotel.
