The location was great...beachfront so you just walk down to the beach. The decor was excellent. The restaurant on site is convenient for a quick bite but their signature drink "The Remedy" was delicious. Just what you would expect for a beachy drink.

Was in the area for family business. Because of spring break, the prices were outrageous. The same room I had spent a week in during February , average of $190 a night was over $430 a night this week. I spent a night here and moved to the Hampton Inn in Crestview for less than $200 a night. The beds, while so comfy, are way too high. I' m 5 3 and had to climb in to get up on the bed. Staff is awesome. All over. Jaunita, John, Bella etc.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fort Walton Beach - Eglin Area by IHG has a fitness center, a shared lounge and a sun terrace with swimming pool and buffet breakfast in Fort Walton Beach.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast was good. The location is definitely not near the beach and that is the only downside.

    Not much access to the beaches unless you stay at a Resort.

    Not much access to the beaches unless you stay at a Resort. Feels like you are committing a crime to access a beach. And that’s the entire point of going to Florida Beaches. The coast of parking is insane. Florida used to be a tourist spot, it just doesn’t feel that way anymore.

    The hotel side was nice, but the whole area itself looked a little distressed a lot of road construction traffic on bridges 45 minutes plus to get across lots of restaurants closed up or out of business food itself was average nowhere in your exceptional even on expensive menus just average and some very below that seem to be highly rated by others Stewbys Sea Food for one. Parking lot is small….but the lines move fast. …. Food seemed to be precooked as it was all cold. Had ok flavor but for the price I’m underwhelmed. And it was a top pick.😎 Best place we ste was the Donut Hole…in Destin during the week late morning was awesome brunch great coffee. Cracklings was good but coffee was not…..very bitter. Getting around was a night mare with all the construction. Late morning early afternoon was best.

    Low key beach community near Air Force bases. Not high end.

    Low key beach community near Air Force bases. Not high end. Summers attract Alabama red necks, but seafood is good. Neighboring Destin is higher end with more restaurants and condos to rent and more attractions. Ft. Walton Beach cheaper to stay and less crowded. Best restaurant for high end cajun/New Orleans style food is Louisiana Lagniappe, out 98 in Destin. Locally, try Stewbies for sandwiches, etc. A classic.

    It is a nice beach town to visit in the Florida Panhandle. There are plenty of activities to do for young and old! There is the Gulfarium for kids old and young to enjoy. This is one of my favorite places to see. There are places to take walks, swim. You can rent a boat or jet skis. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from also. There are major stores that you can shop at. This is the perfect time of the year to visit. It is less crowded and easier to get around right now.

    I think this was the best location for mine and my husband's 33rd anniversary. It was so peaceful and serene. We had the best view of the Gulf of Mexico, and a beautiful pool view from our balcony in building 3.

    The room had the worst chemical smell as soon as we walked in . The beds were paper thin mattresses on particular board platforms . The blankets were stained and rough and thin as well as the pillows . The sliding door into the bathroom area had sharp metal on the bottom that actually cut my foot . On top of all of this the smell never went away and we both woke up with migraine headaches . Will never stay again and I’m not sure how this place passed any inspections.

    Perfect location right on a beautiful beach! Amazing resort with 4 pools- a lazy river, kids pool/splash pad, main pool, and smaller heated pool. Poolside bar and grill open daily 11-5 (in October). Rooms are great (although obviously each is different based on ownership). So many great food, drink, and entertainment options within walking distance without the craziness of Destin proper.
