Mostar is a great place to visit. There is enough to see but not too much you can't get to it all. There is a lot of history about the war and was interesting to see how the city has rebuilt itself. It is very inexpensive to eat and drink and have a great stay there.

Mostar is a city that captivates with its unique blend of history, culture, and hospitality. The Old Town is simply enchanting, with its cobbled streets, historic architecture, and the iconic Stari Most bridge—a testament to the city’s rich cultural heritage.
There’s an undeniable charm here; each corner reveals a story, a glimpse into the past, making it a paradise for history lovers and curious travelers alike. The local culture is warm and welcoming, and the people of Mostar are incredibly friendly and eager to share their love for their city.
The food in Mostar is another highlight—not only delicious but also very reasonably priced. You’ll find yourself savoring traditional Bosnian dishes that are both flavorful and authentic, with many restaurants offering stunning views of the river and Old Town.
From the beauty of its historic sites to the warmth of its people, Mostar offers an unforgettable experience at an accessible price, wrapped in an atmosphere of genuine hospitality. This city truly has it all, and we highly recommend a visit for anyone looking to experience the heart and soul of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The city is simply amazing and multi-faceted, my favorite among Bosnian cities. The old town is undoubtedly beautiful, but the residential areas are also so cozy… And the incredible food you can find here! Sometimes in the most unexpected places, you come across an impressive amount of outstanding street art — a rare sight indeed. I love spending time in Mostar and find myself coming back again and again

Mostar is as beautiful as the photos suggest, especially over the iconic river/bridge! The markets/bazaar are all very pretty and everyone is welcoming, food and dessert are all delicious - we went with friends and family. One important point to mention is that there is a lot of very slippery and sharp cobble stones so wear thick/soft shoes and I would not recommend it for elderly people, or for parents with strollers. Be prepared to do a lot of walking (sometimes on steep paths and high steps).
The highlight for us was visiting the beautiful river and waterfall of Blagaj, only 15mins drive from Mostar town centre, it is well worth visiting and so close! Theres a small market and lots of beautiful restaurants and museums overlooking the water... magical place!
For those who are physically able I would definitely recommend Mostar and if you are lucky enough to be driving from/to Sarajevo, the main highway(via Konjic) is one of the most beautiful routes in the world, with many restaurants including traditional roasted lamb!

Highly recommended. You experience a mix of eastern and European influences. The local food is amazing. Bosnian coffee and fig cake with Turkish delight. There are many historic and breathtakingly beautiful sites to explore a short drive from Mostar. For hiking you can walk to the top of Fortica along a paved switch back with incredible views of the city

Mostar is probably the most "1001 nights"-like-ish city from the middle of Europe! In the heart of the Balkans, Mostar is picturesque, rich in history, and full of flavors. A true gem not to be missed by cultural aficionado travelers. And a perfect romantic getaway!
Walk the Bazar, enjoy a traditional coffee, try local dishes, admire the Old Bridge, visit the Herzegovina Museum, and don't avoid the Museum Of War And Genocide Victims - which is a must-see! If possible, save some extra time for trips near Mostar! I would recommend a full 2-3 day stay to enjoy the place and not be in a hurry.

The house is sparkling clean, cozy and homey, complete with kitchen utensils, bathroom amenities etc. Great location, only 10 min walk (slow pace) to the Old Town and old bridge, Stari Most. The host, Amar is a lovely and warm gentleman. He went all out of his way to ensure his guests felt welcomed and safe equally reflecting Bosnian hospitality. He helped with pick up/drop off at bus station and never forget to check on his guests' daily needs. Highly recommended accommodation in Mostar. Thank you Amar xoxoxo
This is a modern comfortable family run hotel with a great breakfast included. From the front facing rooms, there is a good view over the valley that contains modern Mostar. The Aircon worked really well in humid weather and the WiFi was usable if a bit flaky. The briefing notes provided for guests about surrounding attractions were brilliant, leading me to a superb dinner by the source of the river Buna at Blagaj and more. The Rivero takes Euros in cash, however you need Bosnian KM in most places.
located close to Old Town, only 5min walk away, has a grocery store around the corner to stock up at.
room was clean and roomy. kitchen is handy to make breakfast and coffee in.
the host, Djeno was super helpful, providing brochures about Mostar and Bosnia, he also came and picked me up at 6am to take me to the bus station because it was raining, I was so grateful. was gifted a beautiful handmade soap from his wife. was very well looked after here.
Super hotel. I've stayed in Mostar many times and this is easily the best place I've stayed. Brought my mum here to experience Mostar and she loved the hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the Bosnian meze breakfast is exceptional. Location is perfect, room was very good, hotel is cosy, and price is very good. Thanks for a fantastic stay!
Location is great, in the center of Mostar. About 20min walk from old town.Building is quite new n apartment is well equipped. Mepas Mall is just next to it, a big supermarket at basement.
