The game based platform has been used to develop a serious game app for ‘Alliance for Saving Mothers and Newborns’ (ASMAN), an initiative to improve the survival of mothers and newborns in India during the crucial 48 to 60-hour period around childbirth.
The ASMAN game assists the nurses and skilled birth-attendants in early identification of complications during pregnancy and child-birth and practice their evidence-based management.
Currently implemented in 81 public health hospitals in India the game is helping Nurses improve their confidence by practicing evidence based skills on handling emergence & high-risk cases of pregnancy & child-birth.
