Application Round | Deadline Date | Notification Date | Deposit Date |
---|---|---|---|
Regular Decision | December 1 | December 5 | December 15 |
Early Decision I & II: November 1 & January 15
Early Decision is considered binding, so, if you choose to apply under this option, you must also submit the Early Decision Agreement. This is an ideal option if you are certain Wooster is your top-choice. Learn about the Benefits of Applying Early Decision.
Domestic students applying for financial aid should submit the FAFSA by November 1, 2025 (Wooster’s Code: 003037).
Please note that Early Decision I applicants must apply for competitive scholarships by November 1.
Early Action: November 15
Early Action is a non-binding option that offers you an admission notification earlier in the process, and still allows you to consider other colleges and universities. Early Action applicants have until May 1 to make their final college decision.
Domestic students applying for financial aid should submit the FAFSA by December 1, 2025 (Wooster’s Code: 003037).
Regular Decision: February 15
Our Regular Decision deadline provides admission notification by April 1 for a May 1 enrollment deadline. The preferred FAFSA deadline is also February 15, but we encourage adding Wooster to your list of schools as soon as you know you plan to apply. Please note that Regular Decision applicants are not eligible for our competitive scholarships; applicants for competitive scholarships must apply Early Decision or Early Action.
The College of Wooster is proud to partner with Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine to provide guaranteed dental school admission to students offered a spot in our selective 3+4 BA/DMD Pre-Dental Program.
To be considered for the program, students must apply as an incoming first-year student under the Early Decision I or Early Action application plan and mark an interest in Pre-Dentistry. Pre-dental applicants are required to submit official ACT or SAT test scores to The College of Wooster.
While not required, students may choose to submit additional materials to supplement their application for admission. Examples of supplemental materials welcomed by The College of Wooster are:
- Art portfolio
- Writing portfolio
- Additional letters of recommendation, such as from an employer, coach, or other instructor
- Schoolhouse.world portfolio or certifications
After the application for admission has been submitted, supplemental materials may be submitted by emailing [email protected].
The non-refundable enrollment and security deposit of $400 is payable on or before May 1 (with the exception of Early Decision and spring semester candidates). Two hundred dollars of the enrollment deposit will be used to cover orientation expenses. The balance will be held until graduation or withdrawal from the College.
Any applicant who is denied admission may appeal that decision by filing a written request for review with the Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management within thirty days of the decision. A committee review of the original credentials and any additional supporting information the applicant wishes to submit will occur, and the applicant will be informed of the results of the review in a timely manner.
