Uncover (EP)

Uncover is an extended play (EP) by Swedish pop recording artist Zara Larsson. The EP was released in January 2015 and was her first to be released outside Europe. The EP includes 6 tracks taken from her debut studio album 1 released in Europe three months earlier.

Background

Larsson came to fame by winning Talang 2008 (Sweden’s Got Talent) when she was just 10 years old. Since then, she has released a number 1 album in Sweden and number of platinum selling singles, including the 7times platinum selling single, “Uncover” In April 2013, Larsson announced she had signed a deal with Epic Records who will release her music in America and Australia.

Critical reception

Bradley Stern of Muu Muse said; “This is the very essence of Swede-pop at its finest: Strong song craft, powerful melodies and captivatingly pure vocals, from the feel-good, ’80’s synth-soaked “Wanna Be Your Baby” to the thoroughly brilliant “Rooftop” to “She’s Not Me, Pt. 1 & 2,” which glides across ghostly wisps like one long, paranoid internal monologue and/or ode to Madonna‘s Hard Candy jam.”

Uncover (song)

"Uncover" is a song Swedish singer Zara Larsson from her debut extended play, Introducing (2013). The song was released on 21 January 2013. It was written by Marcus Sepehrmanesh, Robert Habolin and Gavin Jones and it was produced by Habolin. It initially charted on DigiListan charts, SR P3 charts for downloads on 27 January 2013 and eventually charted on Sverigetopplistan, the official Swedish Singles Chart on 22 February 2013 becoming number one. The single also charted in Norway reaching number one as well. In July 2013, the song was certified sextuple platinum in Sweden by Universal Music Sweden.

"Uncover" was also featured on Larsson's Scandinavian debut studio album, 1 (2014) and her international debut extended play Uncover (2015).
