Walls may refer to:
"Walls" is the lead single from The Rocket Summer's album Of Men and Angels. The song was written by The Rocket Summer frontman-and sole member-Bryce Avary, and was released in February 2010. In an interview with AOL, Avary stated that the song is "about struggles and about having issues in your life that you just can't seem to quite get a grip on, whether that's depression or whether that's anything."
The Rocket Summer premiered the single in an acoustic performance at To Write Love On Her Arms' Heavy and Light on January 9, 2010. On January 13, 2010, "Walls" became available for listening on the band's MySpace. Shortly after Of Men and Angels's release, Avary performed the album's lead single "Walls" on KDFW's Good Day Dallas and KTBC's Good Day Austin to promote the album.
In April 2010, the song was used as the backing track in NBC's television show Friday Night Lights' promotional ads, and was featured later that month on NBC's The Biggest Loser.
Walls is the second studio album by An Horse. It was recorded in Vancouver, Canada in Summer 2010, and released on 26 April 2011 in the United States and Canada and on 29 April 2011 in Australia, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland by Mom + Pop Music. It features Kate Cooper on lead guitar and vocals, Damon Cox on drums, and was produced and mixed by Howard Redekopp. The album has been praised for its "gritty, understated approach", but has also received criticism for not deviating substantially from their approach with Rearrange Beds.
TVS may refer to:
TVS is the public television broadcaster of São Tomé and Príncipe.
The TVS Television Network, or TVS for short, is a syndicator of American sports programming. It was one of several "occasional" national television networks that sprang up in the early-to-mid-1960s to take advantage of the establishment of independent (mostly UHF) television stations and relaxation of the AT&T Long Lines usage rates.
Today, the network continues to distribute programming via TV, home video, and the Web in North and South America. The Copyright Group distributes TVS internationally. They have also returned to Las Vegas, shooting new versions of The Hollywood Palace at the Plaza Casino Hotel. It also distributes broadcasts of the Orlando Citrus Parade.
Eddie Einhorn had begun broadcasting radio coverage of college basketball, and built a network of radio stations that covered the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament games. He later moved into television coverage of college basketball games.
Founded by Einhorn, the network originally telecast college basketball games to regional networks at a time when the sport was of no interest to the national networks. Taking advantage of intense regional collegiate rivalries, the network blossomed in the 1960s and developed into a full service sports network. Einhorn proceeded to put together a Saturday afternoon TVS "game of the week" concept that often featured some of the major midwestern independent teams such as Marquette, DePaul, and Notre Dame. These games were widely syndicated at least in the east and midwest.
