County Tyrone

County Tyrone (from Irish: Tír Eoghain, meaning "land of Eoghan") is one of the six counties of Northern Ireland. Adjoined to the south-west shore of Lough Neagh, the county covers an area of 3,155 km² (1218 sq mi) and has a population of about 177,986, with its county town being Omagh. It is also one of the thirty-two traditional counties of Ireland and is within the historic province of Ulster.

Tyrone is the eighth largest of Ireland's thirty-two counties by area and tenth largest by population. It is the second largest of Ulster's nine counties by area and fourth largest by population. The county is no longer used as an administrative division for local government purposes, but retains a strong identity in popular culture.

Name

The name Tyrone is derived from Irish Tír Eoghain, meaning "land of Eoghan", the name given to the conquests made by the Cenél nEógain from the provinces of Airgíalla and Ulaid. Historically, it was anglicised as Tirowen or Tyrowen, which are closer to the Irish pronunciation.

Tyrone station

Tyrone is an Amtrak railway station located approximately 15 miles northeast of Altoona, Pennsylvania on Pennsylvania Avenue south of West 10th Street in Tyrone, Pennsylvania. The station is located in the south end of the borough, and is currently only served by Amtrak's Pennsylvanian, which operates once per day in each direction.

A new railroad station building exists at the stop, but it is only currently used as a museum for the Tyrone Historical Society. There is no ticket office at this station. Due to the small number of passengers, Tyrone Station is a flag stop.

Greyhound has an intercity bus stop less than 1/4 mile north of the station, at 20 West 10th Street.

Stolen! was a mobile game released as a closed beta in November 2015 for iOS, in January 2016 the game quickly gained popularity on Twitter and the internet in general. The goal of the game was to buy Twitter accounts and collect money from those accounts. If another person owned a Twitter account, the player could "steal" it from the person. The only way to play the game was to have a access code, either from another player or from the developers themselves. The game's servers were taken offline on January 14, 2016, and the game was removed from the App Store, due to concerns about the game's potential to be used for harassment. An Android version was being tested prior to the cancellation of the app.

Criticism

Shortly after the large rise in popularity during January 2016, several news outlets, including The Mary Sue and Gadgette published articles raising concern over the ability to use the mechanics of Stolen!, like the ability to edit the profiles of people you have 'Stolen' to harass other people, as well as having to opt-out instead of opt-in to having their profiles in the app. Congresswoman Katherine Clark sent a letter to both Apple and Twitter, urging them to strip the app developers from access to the App Store and Twitter API respectively. The developers have not stated whether Clark's actions were the reason they voluntarily took down the app.

Stolen is a stealth video game developed by British video game company Blue 52 and published by Hip Games for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and Microsoft Windows in 2005.

Gameplay

Stolen is a stealth game in which the protagonist Anya has several hi-tech gadgets to assist her in her cat burglar escapades, including night vision goggles and a multi-use dart gun. Because of her personal moral criminal code, Anya has no lethal arms at her disposal and the player cannot kill any of the guards and other enemies she encounters, but can only knock them unconscious for a brief moment. Anya is assisted by the computer expert Louie Palmer, who communicates with her through an earpiece. The GameSpot review noted the game's "Prince of Persia-inspired feats," but opined "the only difficult part about Stolen is finding the patience to actually remain hidden when it's easier to just charge through the levels."

Plot

The player assumes the role of Anya Romanov, an acrobatic, high-tech professional thief living in the futuristic dark metropolis Forge City. Her initial mission is to infiltrate a high-security museum and steal items therein. Later on, Anya is framed for murder she did not commit. Eventually, she finds out about a sinister conspiracy involving a ruthless corrupt politician Richard Killian and her own deadly female ninja rival known only as Breeze.
