Interstate 90

Interstate 90 (I-90) is a transcontinental freeway, and the longest Interstate Highway in the United States at 3,020.54 miles (4,861.09 km). Its western terminus is in Seattle, at Edgar Martinez Drive S. near Safeco Field and CenturyLink Field, and its eastern terminus is in Boston, Massachusetts, at Route 1A near Logan International Airport. I-90 crosses the Continental Divide over Homestake Pass just east of Butte, Montana. East of the Wisconsin-Illinois border, much of I-90 follows several toll roads, many of which predate the Interstate Highway system. The Jane Addams Memorial Tollway, Chicago Skyway, Indiana Toll Road, Ohio Turnpike, New York State Thruway, Massachusetts Turnpike, and the Ted Williams Tunnel are all toll roads used by I-90 in the eastern half of the country. The Interstate is not tolled through some segments in downtown Chicago; Greater Cleveland, and the rest of Northeast Ohio; Pennsylvania; and through brief sections near Buffalo; Albany; and Boston. Erie, Pennsylvania; Billings, Montana; and Spokane, Washington are other major cities on I-90.

Interstate 90 in Wisconsin

Interstate 90 (I-90) runs east–west through the western, central and southern portions of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. About 187 miles (301 km) of I-90 lie in the state.

Route description

The highway enters from Minnesota over the Mississippi River just northwest of La Crosse. The freeway passes north of La Crosse and south of Onalaska as it heads towards Tomah. Once there, it joins I-94. The two Interstates run concurrently for the next 91.76 miles (147.67 km) to Madison. The highway collects Interstate 39, 63 miles (101 km) southeast of Tomah (near Portage). This concurrency of about 30 miles (48 km) is one of only two three-route concurrency of the Interstate Highway System existence, the other being in Milwaukee. I-39 continues along I-90 for the remaining 78 miles (126 km) in Wisconsin.

I-94 breaks away eastward toward Milwaukee at what is commonly known as the Badger Interchange, where the three Interstates meet with WIS 30. The remaining routes continue south to Janesville and Beloit before exiting the state.

Indiana Toll Road

The Indiana Toll Road, officially the Indiana East–West Toll Road, is a toll road that runs for 156.28 miles (251.51 km) east–west across northern Indiana from the Illinois state line to the Ohio state line. It has been advertised as the "Main Street of the Midwest". The entire toll road is designated as part of Interstate 90, and the segment from Lake Station east to the Ohio state line is a concurrency with Interstate 80. The toll road is owned by the Indiana Finance Authority and operated by the Indiana Toll Road Concession Company, which is owned by IFM Investors.
