Extraordinary may refer to:

Extraordinary (Clean Bandit song)

"Extraordinary" is a song by British electronic group Clean Bandit, featuring vocals from Sharna Bass. It was written by Jack Patterson, Jimmy Napes, Grace Chatto and Gustave Rudman.

The song was issued as the fifth single from Clean Bandit's debut studio album, New Eyes (2014). The single and its remix EP were first released in Ireland on 16 May 2014, and was released in the United Kingdom on 18 May 2014.

Music video

The music video was filmed in Cuba. It was released onto YouTube on 2 April 2014 at a total length of four minutes and seventeen seconds. The video was made by the group and features Sharna Bass, who provides vocals for the track.

Critical reception

The Guardian said that "there's a lot going on in the recent single Extraordinary – steel drums, pizzicato strings, rumbling timpani, cut-up vocal samples, chattering electronics – but you'd never notice, partly because the production is so polite and anaemic that it saps the constant musical shifts of their power, and partly because it's all buried underneath another rotten song, this time a kind of uplifting Emile Sandé-esque ballad: the result is about as extraordinary as branch of Tesco Express".

Extraordinary (Mandy Moore song)

"Extraordinary" is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter Mandy Moore. The first single released from her 2007 album Wild Hope, it is also the first track on the album.

The song differs significantly from her earlier work. Whereas songs such as "Candy" and "I Wanna Be with You" are synthesized bubblegum pop, "Extraordinary" has a more organic and instrumental sound; it features violins, drums, and guitars. According to Moore's official MySpace blog, the song explores her feelings of inferiority and her effort to break free from thoughts.

Release

The song was first released to Moore's MySpace page on January 29, 2007. It was released to the iTunes Store, Apple Inc.'s music store, on April 10, 2007, which was Moore's 23rd birthday. Moore performed the song live for the first time at the official first televised ceremony of the Brick Awards on The CW, though she has also performed the song at a number of smaller gigs. The song is included in the trailer of the film Georgia Rule, which stars Lindsay Lohan. The song was also played on an episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition where Moore was brought to the family's new home.
