All I Want may refer to:

The Illusion of Progress

The Illusion of Progress is the sixth studio album by American rock band Staind. It was released on August 19, 2008. The Illusion of Progress was produced by Johnny K and recorded in lead singer Aaron Lewis' home studio, featuring the band's original line-up, including Mike Mushok (guitar), Jon Wysocki (drums, percussion) and Johnny April (bass, vocals). It debuted at No. 3 in the Billboard 200 with 91,800 units sold.

The lead single was "Believe", topping the Alternative Songs chart on September 13, 2008. It accumulated three weeks at number one.

The second single was "All I Want", came out on November 24. The video continued the story of the first single video and was available on Staind's Myspace on December 12. In Europe the second single was "The Way I Am", and its video was available on the Official Staind Website as of December 24. "This Is It" has been released as the last single off the album. The album has sold over 500,000 units in the United States alone.

All I Want (Mis-Teeq song)

"All I Want" is a song by British R&B/UK garage girl group Mis-Teeq. It was co-written by David Brant, Alan Glass and Maryann Morgan, rap written by Alesha Dixon and originally produced by David Brant (Vybrant Music). It was re-mixed by Ceri "Sunship" Evans for their 2001 debut album, Lickin' on Both Sides. An uptempo song with elements of UK garage and contemporary R&B, it was released as the album's lead single which hit no.2 in the UK Official chart in 2001, it was their joint-biggest hit, along with "Scandalous".

Music video

The opening shows Su-Elise Nash staring into a mirror, before all three girls get sucked in. Once inside they sing and perform a dance routine before a white and gold backdrop. After Alesha Dixon's rap, the video breaks down into the remix version of the song, the white and gold being replaced by pink, purple and blue. When the remix concludes, the video finished off as it began, with the three girls looking into the mirror, with Su-Elise proclaiming: "I just had a really weird daydream". The video and song in featured on the PlayStation 2's EyeToy: Groove.

Club House (band)

Club House was an Italian house music studio group composed of Gianfranco Bortolotti, Carl Fanini, Hidalgo Serra, and Silvio Pozzoli.

Musical career

They climbed to number 75 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1983, with a mashup medley of Steely Dan's "Do It Again" and Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean". In 1991, they hit number-one on the U.S. Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart with "Deep In My Heart", which used portions of Kier Kirby's vocals from Deee-Lite's 1990 single "Power of Love."

The same two songs in Club House's 1983 medley were also recorded as a note-for-note dance medley by the Detroit, Michigan band, Slingshot, which hit number-one on the dance chart with its cover versions.. There was a further version by Brooklyn Express, a New York studio project by Began Cekic and Eric Durham, also in 1983

Club House was also well known for the dance single "Light My Fire" (featuring Carl) which peaked at number 7 in the UK Singles Chart in April 1994. Their follow-up single, "Living In The Sunshine", was not quite so successful as it only managed number 21 in the UK in July the same year.

Great River (LIRR station)

Great River is a railroad station on the Montauk Branch of the Long Island Rail Road, at Connetquot Avenue and Hawthorne Avenue in Great River, New York.

History

Prior to the establishment of passenger service, the site of Great River Station was occupied by a freight only station built by the South Side Railroad of Long Island (SSRRLI) known as Youngsport Station. Great River Station was originally built in 1897 but burned down in 1943. Between that time, a sheltered-platform was added to the other side of the tracks. In 1945 a modernist station designed by architect Antonin Raymond replaced it, but it was burned down in 2000. The third station with high-level platforms was built between 2000-2001. The original shelter, however was restored by the East Islip Historical Society, and remains within one of the parking lots along the eastbound platform.

Club House Station

East of Great River Station, the South Side Railroad built a private station called Club House Station in 1869 to serve the South Side Sportsmen's Club. This station was located between Mileposts 45 and 46 inside today's Bayard Cutting Arboretum, and was among a number of privately owned stations along the SSRRLI, which weren't so uncommon during the 19th Century. It was closed in 1897.

Long Beach (LIRR station)

Long Beach is the terminus of the Long Beach Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. It is located at Park Place and Park Avenue in the City of Long Beach, New York.

The MTA offers a package which includes train fare and admission to the beach.

History

Long Beach Station was originally built in 1880 by the New York and Long Beach Railroad, however it was much closer to the Atlantic Ocean than the present station. The site was surrounded by Broadway, Penn Street, Edwards Boulevard and Riverside Boulevard, and served the grand Long Beach Hotel, which Austin Corbin claimed was the world's largest hotel. It also included a clock tower on the station house, a water tower, and a gazebo. Additionally, it had a connection to the Long Beach Marine Railway, which served Lido Beach and Point Lookout. The hotel burned down on July 27, 1907 in what was officially ruled as an electrical fire.

Due to repeated storm damage to rails and other equipment, the LIRR petitioned the New York State Public Service Commission to move the station 1000 feet north in January 1909, which was fully endorsed by the Estates of Long Beach who even offered to exchange land with the railroad. That permission was granted in February of the same year. The present depot at Park Avenue was built in June 1909, and is larger than the previous station off the Atlantic Coast. It was designed by Kenneth M. Murchison, who also designed the 1913-built Jamaica station and Hoboken Terminal. Over a year later, the station and the line were electrified. The station was renovated in 1988. Another renovation in the early 2000s added a parking garage, bus depot, and platform bridge. The bus depot is on Centre Street adjacent to the station building, and the parking garage contains a section for bicycles.
