The work of PHII is concentrated in three areas of emphasis, the Requirements Lab, Informatics Academy and Practice Support “lines of business”. Within each area, PHII works on a variety of projects, funded by both private foundations and government institutions. We collaborate on these projects with public health practitioners, associations and subject matter experts to both meet the goals of our funders and advance our mission of improving the use of information to achieve better public health outcomes.
For Requirements Lab projects, PHII applies a facilitated collaborative approach to developing requirements for public health information systems, and works to make available a shared repository of such requirements for the public health enterprise.
