Employability and Social Enterprise

The William Wilberforce Trust vision for the warehouse is to create a place that provides resources, training and enterprise for men and women who have come through homelessness, addiction or offending.

Furniture Re-Use

We run a furniture re-use project at our warehouse in Brentford. We aim to place high quality furniture in the homes of low-income families and individuals. If you would like to know more or if you would like to donate furniture then please contact us.

Prisons and Caring for Ex- Offenders

The William Wilberforce Trust work with prisoners both inside and outside the prison. We have partnered with Alpha in Prisons and Caring for ex-offenders because, like them, we believe that by breaking the cycle of crime, individuals, families and neighbourhoods can be transformed.

Working with the Homeless and Vulnerable

The William Wilberforce Trust works to provide a community where all of those caught in homelessness can find a firm foundation from which to re build their relationships, practical circumstances and emotional well being.

Building Community for Older People

Did you know there are now more people in their 70’s and 80’s than ever before? The fastest population increase has been in the number of those aged 85 and over, often referred to as ‘the oldest old’.

Counter Human Trafficking Activities

Slavery was abolished by William Wilberforce with the Slavery Abolition Act in 1833, yet in 2011 human trafficking is the fastest growing crime globally and London is a major destination for traffickers. We believe passionately that this is unacceptable. We want to equip and empower a generation of abolitionists to bring an end to slavery, and work with those who have been exploited to see justice and restoration.

Building Community on Estates

By drawing alongside individuals and through working holistically with the whole family, we aim to improve the life chances of those living on some of the estates identified by the Government's Indices of Deprivation as being the most deprived.

Practical Projects

Projects can include anything from washing someone’s windows to helping them turn over a mattress, moving home, cleaning out an entire room or doing some much needed painting.

Addictions, Eating Disorders, Depression

We run courses and support groups run for those struggling with various addictions, eating disorders and those dealing with depression.

Money Advice

We work in two ways to help those facing the frightening prospect of financial difficulty. For those in serious debt, Crosslight Debt Advice is a free, fully-licensed debt advice service. For those not in such an acute situation, The Money Course is a very accessible four-session course on basic financial management.
