CEEP conference 16 - 17 June, Budapest - report of the conference available
"The Public Services contribution to Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive Growth"
This conference was an opportunity for policy-makers to share their views with CEEP members and partners on how to tackle diverse questions such as financing public services, contributing to growth, climate change, developing new skills, etc.
The EU is coming out of an important economic and financial crisis while, at the same time planning for its future with the Europe 2020 strategy and the re-launch of the internal market with the Single Market Act. More than ever, all forces should be used to ensure the fulfilment of ambitious goals and positive outcomes for citizens and the economy alike. Public Services are key for the success, but how can public services contribute to a smarter and more sustainable growth? How to ensure a proper functioning of the market with modern public services?
Those were some of the issues raised by the conference.
