News

9/22/07-Amazon.com has a picture of the Sisters of Isis Enchantress cover. However, it is not the same cover as the one at Hyperion Books for Children. You can see both covers here (Hyperion's on the left and Amazon's on the right).

9/7/07-Hyperionbooksforchildren.com has been updated with a cover picture of the third Sisters of Isis novel, Enchantress. You can see it here.

8/13/07-Congratulations to Jadelyn, winner of the look-alike competition. You can see all the entries here.

8/3/07-Much thanks to Yonnah for the tip, Amazon.com now says that there will be a fourth installment to the Sisters of Isis series, called The Haunting, and it will be released on March 28, 2008.

8/1/07-Congratulations to Jadelyn, fan of the month for July!

7/26/07-According to amazon, the release date of Sisters of Isis #3 has been pushed back to September 25, 2007. It now says "Untitled" instead of "Enchantress," so it is likely that the title has been changed and the new title has not yet been released.

Edit: This may be a fluke. Borders and Hyperion Books for Teens both say that the title is still Enchantress, and it will be released August 28, 2007.

7/18/07- Amazon now says that Daughters of the Moon 13, The Final Eclipse will be released December 18, 2007.

7/13/07- Sorry everyone! I was out of town and only had computer access for about 5 minutes the whole time, but the picture of the left is the cover of The Final Eclipse, the last Daughters of the Moon novel. You can also see it at amazon.

7/5/07-Competition updates:

     1. Congrats to Saige, June's fan of the month.

     2. As I have received some entries, I will be closing the look alike competition on July 31, 2007, and voting will begin in early August. So if you wish to enter, I advise you do so soon.

     3. I am opening a writing competition (because there are so many fan fic lovers), in which you can write a chapter to Final Eclipse and/or Enchantress. Send all entries to  [email protected] with your name or nickname and the book the chapter goes to. The comp. closes on August 30, 2007, and all entries will be posted on the site for voting.

6/19/07- The Borders website has been updated with the following summary of Final Eclipse:

"The thrilling conclusion to the best-selling Daughters of the Moon series. Vanessa, Serena, Jimena, Catty and Tianna are five seemingly ordinary girls from Los Angeles. But the truth is they are far from ordinary. They each have a secret power that separates them from others--and makes them Daughters of the Moon. Now, on the eve of Vanessa's seventeenth birthday, the Daughters face their final battle against the evil Atrox. But in saving the world, will the Daughter's lose each other?"

So I hate to break it to you, but this is the end of the series. Also, the summary mentions Tianna, so it's very likely she'll reappear in the book. The description makes it pretty clear the book will be about Vanessa.

6/14/07-Also check out Serena Lvr's new FanFic Tales of Time.

6/14/07- Thanks to Chocolat for writing a new fan fic Through Lenne's Eyes (Read Through Adel's Eyes first).

6/14/07-Sorry everyone, the Design a Cover for Book 13 Competition is closed. An odd coincidence, the entry numbers were the same as the order the pieces placed in (Entry 1 was first place, entry 2 was second place...). But anyways, our winner is entry number one by Laei. Congratulations to Laei for also being second runner up and winning the fan art competition. You can see all of the entries for the Design a Cover for Book 13 contest here and all the fan art competition entries in the fan art album (Laei's is first).

6/4/07-Stella has written chapter six of Stella's Chronicles.

6/1/07-The "Design a Cover for Daughters of the Moon Book 13" competition is now closed. All viewers of the site are welcome to vote for their favorite cover here. Please only vote once. The entry with the most votes by June 8, 2007, will be the winner.

6/1/07-Congratulations to Amy, Fan of the Month for May!

5/31/07-Thanks to Moon Daughter, Hotbirdyhot, and Stella for updating their fanfics Revenge, Goddess of Water, and Stella's Chronicles.  Also, much thanks to Chocolat for submitting an entirely new fanfic, Through Adel's Eyes.

5/18/07-The Borders website also offers the following summary of Sisters of Isis #3, Enchantress:

"Fifteen-year old Dalila has never lived a normal life. Homeschooled by her uncle and hopelessly sheltered from the outside world, she's used to being different. Lately, Dalila has discovered she has magical powers of transformation and the ability to cast spells from the Book of Thoth. But when Dalila makes a terrible mistake, she finds herself in a race to recover powerful magic."

5/16/07-Thanks to thespuspunk88, who works at Barnes and Noble, for the email tip: Daugters of the Moon 13 will be called Final Eclipse.

I checked with Borders and found a confirmation page which also says the book will be 288 pages long and will come out this December.

Also, Sisters of Isis #2, Divine One, is now available for purchase.

5/6/07-The Daughters of the Moon Bindup is now available over Amazon and Amazon also lists that there will be a third Sisters of Isis novel released this September called Enchantress.

Edit: The Hyperion Books for Teens website confirms that SOI #3 will be called Enchantress and offers more information about it, including that it is 288 pages long and has a pub date of 08/28/2007.

5/5/07-Congratulations to Lizzy, fan of the month for April!

3/25/07- Sorry everyone, it was a bad weekend for me to go out of town. Sisters of Isis The Summoning is now available in most bookstores and through Amazon.com.

2/11/07-OMG!OMG! OMG! *I am going to breathe now.* Yesterday, Hyperion sent me a signed, advance proof of the first Sisters of Isis novel, The Summoning. I cannot give you any advance information about it because it is copywrited and I don't want to spoil it for you, but I can confirm that the book cover pictures and chapter one sneak peek at www.myspace.com/sistersofisis are correct. I can also tell you that it is fabulous, and is considerably more similar to Daughters of the Moon than Sons of the Dark.

1/4/07-The website chapters.indigo.ca has updated their site to say that the release date for The Summoning (Sisters of Isis #1) is April 1, 2007, the release date for Divine One (Sisters of Isis #2) is July 15, 2007, and the release date for the Daughters of the Moon Bindup is April 1, 2007.

Edit: Amazon.com confirms these release dates for The Summoning and The Daughters of the Moon Bindup, but states that Divine One will be released June 1, 2007.

1/4/07-Thanks to h for the tip, the first two Sisters of Isis book covers and the first chapter of The Summoning have been posted at www.myspace.com/sistersofisis.

11/22/06- Congratulations to The Lost Son of the Dark, the winner of the fan art competition! You can see the winning piece on the Fan Art page.

8/14/06- The website www.chapters.indigo.ca lists the first two books of The Sisters of Isis series. According to the site, the title for book 1 is The Summoning, and the title for book 2 is Divine One. As the titles Ancient Magic and Cat Magic were only working titles, it is extremely possible that the titles have recently been changed to The Summoning and Divine One. Although the site does not give any further information about the books, it is taking pre-orders for the books here for $12.99.

Edit: The titles, The Summoning and Divine One, have been confirmed.

Edit: The same site is also advertising a Daughters of the Moon Bind Up, which the site claims is paperback and will be published in April 2007. It is taking pre-orders for the book at $17.99.

8/11/06-This site can now be accessed at www.daughters-of-the-moon.webs.com

7/14/06-It is officially the one year anniversary of this website!

7/12/06-I have managed to find a site that will allow you to have your own free Daughters of the Moon e-mail address so that if you want to contact me, apply to be on the staff, submit fan art, use it for your own personal use, etc., you won't need to give out your personal e-mail address. If you are interested in having your own Daughters of the Moon e-mail address, click here.

6/24/06-The following summaries for Ancient Magic and Cat Magic, the first two books in the Sisters of Isis series, have been anonymously submitted to Wikipedia, but HAVE NOT BEEN CONFIRMED:

"BOOK 1 Ancient Magic

Meri discovers that she has the strange ability to change shape and form -- something that only the early Egyptians were able to do. At first, she thinks that it's all a dream. Little does she know that she will soon be thrust into a world of ancient magic, ancient gods, and most importantly, ancient wars.

BOOK 2 Cat Magic

Dalila is having recollections of the past and discovers that she's seeing through the catlike eyes of Cleopatra. With the accompaniment of her friends, Meri and Sudi, she travels back in time and discovers that her destiny lies there -- in ancient Egypt."

6/2/06-A summary of Sisters of Isis has now been confirmed:

"Sisters of Isis follows three fifteen-year old girls living in modern-day Washington, D.C. Strangers until now, Meri, Dalila, and Sudi are thrown together when they discover they are all descendants of very powerful ancestors--Egyptian pharaohs who vowed to keep the world safe from Chaos. From these ancestors they've inherited magical powers of transformation, the ability to cast spells from the Book of Thoth, and, as they will soon learn, the responsibility of protecting the world from evil and chaos."

4/25/06-Lynne Ewing will be releasing a new book series in Spring of 2007. It has recently been confirmed by Hyperion that the series will be titled The Sisters of Isis.

Edit: The working titles (could change by the time the books are published) for the first two books are Ancient Magic and Cat Magic.

Edit: The working titles have been changed to The Summoning and Divine One.

9/4/05- Okay, I received a letter back from Lynne and she said that she is starting to write DOTM 13, of which the working title is Resurrection. She also said that she doesn't intend on continuing SOTD, and she also said something about two select characters that I will not say for fear of spoiler haters jumping down my cyber-throat. So if you're interested, you can contact me.

9/1/05- Nightsun has been released in all bookstores. It was available through Amazon and Borders a month ago.

8/1/05-Nightsun is now available at Borders and on amazon.com. It will not be released to any other bookstores until it's pub date, September 1st.
