Taal’s Heritage Town in Batangas Province was one of the few symbolic preserved towns of the coun... more Taal’s Heritage Town in Batangas Province was one of the few symbolic preserved towns of the country that represents the vibrant past of colonization in its progressive contemporary setting. The spur was the heritage conservation dilemma in the Philippine heritage structures, which played a vital role in historical studies of the past, the lack of Conservation Management Plan (CMP).
The CMP will serve as the important guiding standardize document for theprotection of the identified cultural values of the historical structure initially resembling to Escuela Pia in Taal, that already marked the place and Taaleños’ identity. Moreover, it may lead as a reference tool for other significant places in Taal Heritage Town. The importance of the CMP is to elaborate more the preserved momentousknowledge and significance for the awareness of the current and future generations.
In order to protect theassessed significance, that exemplifies – the place itself, its fabric, setting, use, associations, meanings, records, related places and related objects –thestrategized policies will be put into action.The author will strengthen the Escuela Pia’s authenticity of thefabric and will disseminate public awareness of its historical importance to the community through its prevailingdiverse use. The voice of Taal community and stakeholders will lead to a decision of the necessary and proper redevelopment for the conservation and potential impacts in consideration to the – safety and security; authenticity and noteworthy – of the heritage structure.
