If we want digital health to make a real difference to people's lives, why do we deprioritise the input of its users in its design and development? User engagement - whether from patients or healthcare teams- often inconsistent or even neglected due to time and budget constraints. That needs to change. As healthcare becomes increasingly digital and data-driven, developing solutions that reflect the varied needs of patients and users is essential to reducing disparities and improving outcomes. The King's Fund has outlined key recommendations to make this a reality, from equipping staff with the right skills to embedding engagement into everyday processes. How can we effectively engage patients and stakeholders into the design and development of health services? Share your views below so we can discuss them in our upcoming webinar! ⬇️ Read more ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eWqUZqXQ #Healthtech #DigitalHealth #DigitalHealthConference #BMJFutureHealth #NHSInnovation #AIInHealthcare #InclusiveDigitalHealthcare

What if the key to accelerating healthcare innovation lies not just in technology, but giving clinicians a stronger voice in how its used? A recent study from Imperial's Centre for Health Economics & Policy Innovation shows that professional networks are key in adopting new procedures like keyhole surgery for colorectal cancer. Doctors who engage with a wide network of colleagues, are more likely to adopt new practices, with experienced clinicians influencing their peers. Creating more opportunities for clinicians to discuss and share their experiences can speed up adoption by 20%, benefiting patients and healthcare systems. Clinicians’ voices are vital in driving change, and these conversations are crucial for further innovation. Have discussions in your network shaped your approach to new healthcare innovations?
