The service manual is used to set standards across digital services in the UK, and this includes browser requirements. Older versions of Internet Explorer have been falling out of favour with users for a number of years. So it is time to remove them from our browser matrix and move the web forwards.

We’ve added Samsung Internet to our browser testing recommendations

In a resent update to Google Analytics, Chrome and Samsung Internet can now be identified independently of each other. After the change we could see that a fairly large percentage of GOV.UK users were using this browser. So it has now been added to the testing requirements in the Service Manual.
