On Friday we went to one of The Startup Network's legendary events and heard from Grace Andrews and Grace Miller, part of the team behind Steven Bartlett's Diary of a CEO Podcast. They spoke about mastering your brand voice and building a wildly successful podcast. Here’s what we learned: 🌄 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗽𝘀 (𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺) Get obsessed with knowing what your audience is looking at and talking about offline, and then give it to them online. Use research tools like Semrush and Youtube’s content gap analysis to find the gaps. 🔮 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 If you want to grasp opportunities, you need to be prepared for them. The Diary of a CEO crew has a Slack channel dedicated to sharing knowledge and resources to help the whole team stay two steps ahead of the competition. 🤖 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲-𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗜 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 Midjourney can help you seal commercial deals by letting potential partners see their brand come to life (without the need for pulling a designer onto a spec job). Super busy? Ask ChatGPT to summarise all those TL;DR articles you've been meaning to read. 🥊 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝘆 When your product is comparable to others in market, it’s your personality that sets it apart. And, remember: it's not just how you look – the words you choose to use are your personality, too. So, craft them with care. 👩🏽‍🔬 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 60% of podcasts don’t make it past episode 3.
