Last week Marsden’s Karen Glass chaired a fully-subscribed event with General Counsel and Chief Legal Officers to discuss the relationship between Boards and General Counsel, offering advice for transitioning wishing to transition into NED roles. Organised by Winmark and hosted by Cooley LLP in London, the panel featured Erica Handling, Andrew Ballheimer, and Dame Janet Gaymer, who shared insights from their successful journeys into NED portfolios. Despite perceptions that lawyers aren’t natural choices for Boards, these leaders demonstrated the unique value lawyers can bring.
