Star Academies has consistently been one of the highest-performing multi-academy trusts in England over recent years, running some of the country’s top-performing schools. In the government’s most recent performance tables (2019), Star schools secured first, second and third places in the national rankings, with five in total in the top 15. The brief:
Vape & Go approached seoBusiness with a vision to establish itself in a particularly competitive marketplace.
The online retailer stocks a huge range of e-cigarette kits, vape liquid, batteries, atomisers, parts and accessories sourced from across the world.
While already registering five-figure monthly revenues, Vape & Go had much bigger ambitions, believing it had enormous potential to grow if only it could increase its visibility to potential customers.
The company was only appearing in the top five search results for just four important keywords, and so the directors sought out the opinions of a range of SEO experts, and found our analysis to be streets ahead of the competition.
With more than two decades of experience in building digital marketing campaigns behind us, we set about establishing Vape & Go as a true online force.
How seoBusiness delivered:
It’s difficult to measure the true progress of the seoBusiness campaign, as the website before we began the work was so basic that it wasn’t even counting or analysing incoming traffic. This only began with the launch of our campaign.
However, what we do know is that two years since our SEO work went live, monthly traffic has increased by 428%, which has resulted in an incredible 2,301% increase in monthly income.

The brief:
Liverpool-based drainage specialist Mersey Rod had already built a successful business backed by digital marketing when it approached seoBusiness, but the costs of maintaining online visibility were proving to be a burden, limiting the scope for future growth.
Mersey Rod only appeared as the top search result for one of its keywords, and in the top five for just one other. This meant that the company was heavily reliant on pay-per-click advertising which, while effective in certain cases, can be less cost-effective in the long-term.
How seoBusiness delivered:
seoBusiness built an SEO campaign for Mersey Rod, helping increase the company’s visibility on Google so that it could become less reliant on the more expensive PPC advertising.
seoBusiness initially worked with Mersey Rod to identify the 30 keywords that potential customers might enter into Google when trying to find the services they offer.
However, the 30-keyword campaign was so successful so quickly, that Mersey Rod soon increased its investment, extending to 80 keywords.
Visibility vastly increased, with Mersey Rod earning 30 number one rankings, featuring in the top five for 72 keywords and in the top ten for 80 keywords.
This resulted in a dramatically increased number of enquiries from organic search, allowing Mersey Rod to scale back its PPC campaign.
Just one month after the expanded 80-keyword campaign launched, Mersey Rod saw a 31% month-on-month increase in web traffic and received hundreds more enquiries.
In total, over the first three years, monthly traffic increased by 675%.
