Schroders has launched its Emerging Markets Value fund to UK investors, addressing the rising demand for this asset class. Initially launched in September 2020 under the Schroder International Selection Fund in Europe and Bermuda, the fund is now available in the UK. It consists of 41 holdings across 17 countries, including China, Mexico, and Brazil, using a bottom-up stock-picking approach aimed at achieving risk-adjusted returns against the MSCI Emerging Markets benchmark – using Pickafund's benchmarking options, the picture attached shows it outperforming. Since inception, the fund has delivered 16.7% per annum relative return and 18.2% annualised absolute return. The managers emphasise their extensive experience and focus on undervalued assets, particularly in China, despite recent net outflows and market volatility.
