Fascinating article about the significant disparity in executive compensation between the UK and the US. On average, UK executives are paid significantly less than their American counterparts, which poses a risk of talent migration from Britain to the United States. Could this gap in pay undermine the competitiveness of the UK's capital markets and its ability to retain top executive talent? What does it mean to be a Non-Executive Director nowadays? When to start thinking about this career path? I found this insight from our UK colleagues, Board Practice, very interesting. So many people think about the best way to combine executive and non-executive roles. The good thing is that they might be very complementary, with a strong value to build on both sides: "My executive role in the private sector allows our team to move faster on initiatives and this is something which I bring to my non-executive role, where traditionally businesses move slower.
