It is a #techbio startup specialising in antibody design against challenging targets, including G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) and ion channels. 📈 In a recent investment, the Welsh startup raised £3.5 million in seed funding led by i&i Biotech Fund I (i&i Bio) and Kadmos Capital Ltd, with additional investment from existing investors Innospark Ventures, UKI2S (managed by Future Planet Capital), Tensor Ventures, and AngelHub. We are delighted to confirm the execution of a further contract to provide cell-based assays to UK biotech company, AMPLY Discovery Limited.   The multiphase contract will evaluate various formulations of Amply's developmental siRNA targets in Inaphaea's Triple Negative Breast Cancer Patient Derived Cells (PDCs) as stand-alone agents and in combination with standard-of-care drugs.   The news follows the confirmation of a customer shipment of Inaphaea's first batch of Patient Derived Cells which are part of our new range of Assay Ready Reagents, as we continue to align our services with our strategic partners. The Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) report 2024 by Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult, presented during BioIndustry Association (BIA)'s #bioprocessuk, highlights the expansion of the UK’s manufacturing infrastructure for advanced therapies. 🔬The UK now produces 199 therapies for pre-clinical, clinical and commercial use. 📈 The number of commercially licensed products has increased from 2 to 6, showing significant progress. 🏭There are now 32 MHRA-licensed GMP facilities, with new sites increasing capacity in workforce and cleanroom footprint.
