    My Ph.D. was on public choice economics and financial regulation. Completed under Director of Studies Professor Kevin Dowd (now at Durham University) and External Examiner Professor Alec Crystal (CASS Business School). Whilst completing my Ph.D. I also was a Visiting Lecturer on accounting, finance and economics, and published numerous articles and book chapters on regulatory theory (especially public choice v public interest theories and practice) including: "Ripping Off Aunt Agatha", IEA…

    I secured a scholarship place on an IHS summer seminar programme in Pitzer College, one of the Claremont Colleges, Los Angeles California. An excellent faculty with lectures and seminars on classical liberalism and free market economics.

    Attended UKFSA Risk Symposium at St John's College Cambridge. Speakers including Lyndon Nelson, Colin Lawrence and Andrew Bailey on risk in a post-crisis regulatory environment.
