I hit 5000 subscribers on YouTube and it only took 3.5 years... People make YouTube look so easy but if, like me, you started with no skill or experience and are self-taught, it actually looks like: - Learning how to speak on camera - Writing scripts that capture attention whilst giving value - Understanding lighting - Learning how a camera works - Finding and buying the right equipment - Learning how to do basic edits - Learning how to add overlays and screen effects - Understanding the Youtube algorithm - Understanding how to utilise YouTube Studio analytics - Understanding user retention techniques - Learning how to design effective thumbnails - Understanding and implenting YouTube SEO - Learning how to edit and add in sound - Learning about keywords and how best to use them - Optimising the upload process - Ensuring the channel is well designed and user friendly My first few videos were... absolutely atrocious... my recent ones... much better and I expect them to get better still. I also have a new channel, exploring solopreneurship, productivity and business... "Not sure who needs to hear this but....." Well you have a problem then. If you're actively trying to use your marketing to generate sales and enquiries then you should 100% know exactly who needs to hear your message. If you're doing SEO to generate enquiries then your website should be speaking directly to your ideal client and their pains and problems. If you're doing PPC to generate enquiries then your landing page should be speaking directly to your ideal client and their pains and problems If you're using social media to generate enquiries then guess what......your content should be speaking directly to your ideal client and their pains and problems. And everything should then be geared to showing how you can be the solution to their problem. I love generating traffic for people. I love getting people to your website at the exact time they are looking to buy the services that you sell. But if your message isn't speaking to those people? Well we have some work to do don't we? "I lose potential clients because they want more than I can offer, even when my offer is clear" "We keep getting enquires but they try to undercut my prices" The people we attract or don't attract is all in your messaging. Even when you think you nailed your marketing strategy, if you keep seeing or hearing the same response then there is a problem in the message not you. List all the reasons why your services have been rejected and check your content, whether your traffic comes from website, social media or other sources. When I started my journey with Amazon I also wanted to buy a Bantley. However doing business on Amazon is not that simple as it was sold on social media by course sellers. The reality is Selling on Amazon is a tiring process that needs your full time focus. You have to make sure you are sourcing the right quality. You have to tackle hundreds of issues with the listings before they go live. Amazon will take so much time to make your product available that you will begin to lose nerves. Then Amazon will categorize your product as some food item and will keep you suspended for days and you will keep shouting that it is an "electronic product" and not a sushi. Eventually Advertising will keep eating your margins until you are losing money on each sale. You begin to fear that you are not an expert and you end up hiring expensive agencies to do the same work just with a different structure. Lastly returns will break your business's back. Yes, Selling on Amazon is not a walk in the park It's a marathon run, it's as complicated as building a startup and it brings in stress as much as any founder faces in their business.

If you build a community you are going to build your brand. What do you think brands like Puresport, Represent, Adanola, Odd Muse, REFY, Gymshark, Art of Football etc have in common? They haven’t just built products or a brand, they’ve built a community. Building a community not only gets people to be interested in your brand, it makes people feel part of your brand. It creates brand advocates who will champion your business. Plus it’s a great way of creating content for your online audience too. Build a community and in turn it will build your brand.

Here’s how I generated qualified booked calls 2025 before I even sat at my desk this morning… Last night, I had a bit of a “what if” moment and decided to turn on my ads earlier than planned. Let’s just say the experiment paid off. I woke up to: ✅ 5 leads at just £2.35 per lead. ✅ 2 qualified leads. ✅ 1 booked call. All before my year had even started. This is exactly why I’m such a huge advocate for strategic, well-targeted ads. With the right messaging and systems in place, your business can work for you, even when you’re sleeping. Here’s the simple blueprint: Really focus on the pain point your customer is struggling with and call it out! For example, I work with trades. I know a lot of trades have struggled with leads this year and it’s actually dropped off for them. My ad uses a video (Use video if you can, it generates higher quality leads) targeting and speaking out to my IDEAL CUSTOMER and their BIGGEST PAINPOINT. If you can do those two things, by using Facebook ads, then you will generate more leads than ever in 2025!

Last week, I landed a new client while I was in Dubai. On the call, I told them, “If you pay today, I’ll fly to Manchester next week, and we’ll set everything up and do a mastermind session.” They got excited, sent the payment, and now I’m on my way to Manchester to work with them. We’ll not only plan for the last three months of this year, but also for 2025. I always emphasize that the first 14 days with a new client are crucial for building the relationship, and the next 14 days are important for showing them some early wins. My services are long-term, so results typically show up around month four or five. As I travel, I stay active. I have teams across the U.S., Europe, and the UAE, so I’m always working. If I’m awake, I’m working. I keep my phone in hand, and that’s all I need to make things happen. I believe in taking advantage of every opportunity and moving fast. Once I arrive in Manchester, I’ll meet the client in a few hours. We’ll have a mastermind session over steaks and cigars and discuss content creation for tomorrow, as well as a master plan for 2025. I prefer working with real business people, especially those with years of experience, because they’ve been in the game longer and learned from more failures. That’s why I usually work with people who are at least 30 years old—the value of their experience is immense. In this business, it’s all about taking action and learning from the right people. I’ve always taken a ‘Set and Forget’ approach to business. (And you should, too.) Let me explain. I’ve never been one for material things. But I did sit down with our financial advisor Seamus O'Connor ACA CTA recently, and he helped decide where to put my money. As simple as it sounds, that investment was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. All I did was: 1. Outsourced an expert 2. Received a crystal clear POA 3. Freed up my mental space to focus on other things. When you spend time setting plans, processes, and systems in place, you can forget about them. And turn your focus to what matters most. The same applies to everything, both professionally and personally, whether it’s: → Automating tasks → Hiring the right staff → Planning out your daily calories Set and forget. It’s as simple as that.
