What do you do if you need guidance and support to rebuild your career after a layoff?
One thing I found helpful amongst many was to accept the situation I found myself in, which sounds easy but it's filled with much emotion. Employment ending when it wasn't entirely your choice takes time to heal. At the point of acknowledging the situation, you can then begin to rebuild & begin to heal from the hurt and accept help. You cannot always do it alone so accept the help and begin to centre your own needs and think deeply about what you want to do and start to plan your future. Look at your gaps and spend time building on what you are good at and strengthening the skills that you know need to improve. Next build your networks. You know more people than you realise. Start a conversation - it can lead to many things.
