Jan 2024: Cracking start to the year with onboarding 4 new clients Feb 2024: Signing our biggest client to date April 2024: Quietest month at Infinitistudios to date, whilst celebrating my daughters first birthday May 2024: Ran my first marathon September 2024: Spent more time managing potential clients than actual projects. Lesson learned: not everyone’s ready for the £8k glow-up. 2024 in summary: lots of wins, some fails, Here’s to doing it all over again in 2025.

No Affixxius story today but wanted to share some work from our more recent past. We've produced a large number of what we call 'Awareness Films' over the years for various Constabularies with huge success. In fact on a few occasions our films have directly lead to declarations being made and convictions taking place. Which is 🤯! Below is one we did about County Lines, which not only looks amazing but also carries a really important message about the subtilty involved in identifying such crime. When you learn or recognise your 'always been there, but you better understand it now', ability, to be able to see multiple perspectives, at the same time, hold multiple points of view at the same time, that may even be entirely in conflict with each other, that's not crazy, it's switched on. Don't be frightened by it, learn to harness it. Embrace it. Stop chastising yourself, for actually being rather brilliant at some things, and just not others. You have the power to flip your mindset, your inner voice. your inner narrative, to change your wiring and make your brain and mind make healthier and happy choices. You really do, neuroscience and what we are rapidly learning tells us so. It's exciting!! We all have our own unique PDP (personal development plan) self imposed, or work supported. Our internal brain SWOT. strength, opportunities, weaknesses and threats. They are just unique to you. Enjoy being you, reflect, grow, discover but love yourself, because as Chesney Hawkes sang and says, 🎵I am the one and only, no body I'd rather be! Utterly genius for your regular daily mantra. Not arrogant, conceited, but humble and true, get to work on being the best version of you!!! https://lnkd.in/edT29XfF Play that to yourself. Really listen to the lyrics properly. It's a very empowering song. I saw him live at Rewind festival in 2018 I think it was, crazy fabulous artists, all of them.Thank you for your music, art and passion! ❤️ You are you, this is your life, your only life. A true miracle and gift, make it count, for you and those you love! Follow The Hidden 20% Podcast, we're no longer so hidden, more perhaps previously ignored (quite a bit) until now. #Positivity #Neurodiversity #Inclusion #ADHD #Autism #ASD #Dyslexia #Isms

Excellent summation from Les Binet here on maximising effectiveness, efficiency, ROI and enhancing margins by doing some simple things with media spend distribution but also the core of the effectiveness is creativity. I find creative is often observed as an overhead of advertising rather than an investment but the research doesn't lie - amazing creative is as big an ROI multiplier than other factors combined, so the payback of these combinations in the short, medium and long term is absolutely worth it.

"Brand Patience" It's hard to understand the importance of patience and consistency when there are short-term pressures on brands and their marketers because of this there's often an urgency to find an idea that can break through the clutter and land the brand on the cultural map. However, there's another way. Create a powerful platform for the brand and consistently execute against this over time. It requires discipline and patience, but it's a little like compound interest- the consistency pays off and reinforces the brand's position. Take VCCP and its work for Cadbury built on a platform of generosity- which, of course. \allows them to do great advertising, but also. supplement it with smart ideas like this one. Creating a breakthrough cultural hit isn't easy. However, having the discipline and patience to stick to a strategy and platform for years is a different kind of challenge.

Great to see a big poster at Weston-super-Mare this morning for a London orchestra. For the next version, how about a QR code enabling the user to literally "share the wonder" through a channel-exclusive ticket offer for them and a friend? This simple change, supported by some box office work, would develop a static advert into an audience engagement and growth tool, and offer some v handy data off the back end. #artsmarketing

Any convo I have with Dmitri Vietze is bound to be fascinating, but this one dove deep into some of the most exciting shifts in marketing for 2025. We covered: 👉 How Artiphon is pushing boundaries with influencer and creator marketing 👉 Why brand partnerships might be the answer to your 2020 e-commerce funnel that’s not delivering like it used to 👉 How the blurring lines between listening and playing are turning music engagement into something closer to gaming I’d love to hear your thoughts—what do you agree with, disagree with, or want to try for yourself?

Sometimes you are so busy, it’s only when you step back you can fully appreciate all the things that have kept you ‘entertained’… employer brands, career sites, TA campaigns photoshoots, videos, animations, social… the list goes on, and on, and on, and on. Here’s a really small snapshot of the great work we produce at DNA (Digital Native Advertising) #employerbranding #employeevalueproposition #proud

52 Quintillion Eno Films: How Technology Unlocks Our Creative Potential As Vivid Sydney drew to a close this weekend for another year, it continued to deliver on its unique experiences. My favourite visit this year was the Brian Eno documentary produced by Gary Hustwit at the Sydney Opera House. Each viewing of the film was and will forever be unique, thanks to a computer aptly named BrainOne. With 52 quintillion potential variations, the film draws a parallel to Brian Eno's approach to creativity, who is known for embracing unpredictability and randomness to foster innovation. Similarly, the film uses technology to introduce variability, allowing viewers to make their own unique connections and interpretations. This concept of leveraging the unexpected was highlighted through the use of Brian Eno’s ‘Oblique Strategies’ used to punctuate the film. A creative tool designed to push boundaries and encourage the exploration of new directions. An example referenced in the documentary I watched appeared during a recording session with David Bowie, where the oblique strategy card reading "Use an old idea" inspiring Bowie to revisit earlier riffs and explore new creative territories. Hustwit’s approach to this documentary underscored the value of unpredictability in creativity. And as I reflected on this in relation to my day to day experience of AI at Meta, it served to remind me of the dual capability AI has both to predict with accuracy, but also relax these predictive thresholds and enter a more exploratory mode, working alongside human imagination to build new connections, transforming randomness into creativity.

What did I learn judging for the The Drum Awards? Firstly, Imposter syndrome is real. I was surrounded by some mega players in the industry and then there was little ol’ me Then I learnt about the submission process itself: Write to the criteria: if the concept took a lot of work, say it did. You can’t assume the judge knows what went on unless you say it out loud Check your data: if you get any of it wrong, the judge will question it and you don’t have a chance for rebuttals Case study video: a submission is restricted by a character limit. Adding a 3 minute case study video helps the sell (and appeals to the visual people) Do you enter awards in your industry? Do you see it as patting yourself on the back or do awards help you win more business?

Just catching the end of this show, and a very thoughtful and wise discussion on AI. “We” are all frankly giddy about the possibilities that AI provides, but we are at great risk of running blindly forward without tackling the dangers. I do hope that wisdom prevails and we start to take a more balanced approach. Let’s not keep making the same mistakes. (I note with irony that Linked In is asking me if I want to rewrite this post with AI 🤣😏) https://lnkd.in/eR8pcdR4

Feeling excited to be sat amongst the PR Jury for The Drum Awards 2024. Not my first time in this position, so it got me thinking about what I typically look for in an award-winning entry. I'd say I split it up into 4 parts: 1️⃣ Creative difference. Is what I'm seeing something new and clever? 2️⃣ Having an integrated approach. Does the entry include a strategy or activation that goes beyond traditional PR or comms? 3️⃣ A clear link to the business imperative. Does the activity ladder up into the company's broader business goals? 4️⃣ Great results. How did it perform? What was the impact? Measurement is key. Looking forward to seeing the entries - good luck to all!

Great discussion around PR, Sales and Marketing and the potential bridges and differences which make them challenging to align. Thanks to Rise, created by Barclays and the team at Drofa Comms for putting on the event. There were some great topics discussed including: 💥 Differing KPIs for Sales, PR and Marketing and how hard they are to align. 💥 Guiding CEOs on whats realistic with ROI expectations. 8x is probably not going to happen. 💥 The power of brand positioning & consistent messaging for differentiation. 💥 Understanding the value each discipline brings. Thanks to the speakers and moderators.
