A huge thank you to all our clients that made the 2024 Winterflood Business Services Corporate & Trustee Markets Charity golf event an incredible success. The event hosted by Philip Smith and Tom Giles, raised almost £7.5k for Friends of Jersey Oncology (FOJO), a charity that provides tailored help and practical support to local Jersey cancer patients and their families, from first diagnosis through their treatment journey. Our Charity JustGiving page was one of the most successful JustGiving pages last month. Out of thousands of fundraisers, we were in the top 1%! A huge thank you to everyone that donated. We had teams playing from JTC Group, VG, ZEDRA Group, Ogier, Ocorian, CSC, TMF Group, Ledgy, Winterflood Securities, and Winterflood Business Services battle it out at La Moye Golf club in Jersey. The trophy is off to the engravers to have our overall winners, Ogier, represented by Gavin Snarey and Ross Crick proudly added. 2nd place was held by VG (represented by Stephen Langan and Jamie Hodkinson) with JTC Group (represented by Mark Le Saint and Luke Philpott) coming in 3rd place. Thanks to all the participants and the team at La Moye Golf club that made the day memorable.

Winterflood Business Services supports the recent move to allow certain fractional shares in tax-free Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs). HM Revenue & Customs, the UK tax authority, has decided to make the change in a bid to encourage more investment into the stock market. According to draft legislation, viewed and reported by the Financial Times, the change could come into effect as soon as 30th September 2024, ahead of an upcoming change to law by the new UK government. We are delighted to hear of this change, as we believe that the move will be positive for investment platforms and our clients, allowing additional investment in managed portfolios. Furthermore, we believe that this will enable our clients to provide a more holistic offering to their end-customers, and diversification of their investments. We are thrilled to confirm that the Winterflood Business Services Corporate & Trustee Markets team will be hosting their second annual Offshore Client Golf Day on Thursday 8th August, returning to La Moye Golf Club in Jersey. This year we are very excited to be raising funds for Friends of Jersey Oncology (FOJO). FOJO was created to make the words ‘you require cancer treatment’ less frightening and overwhelming. They provide tailored help and practical support to local Jersey cancer patients and their families, from first diagnosis through their treatment journey. Since 2012, they have been supporting Jersey’s Oncology Unit with practical resources, designed to help patients who are undergoing treatment. We will be running a number of competitions on the course, and a silent auction in advance of the day, with all proceeds going to FOJO. Further to this, we have partnered with ShareGift who have very kindly agreed to make a generous donation.
