We caught up with Lisa Munro, project co-ordinator, who has worked with Dundee Pride for over five years, ahead of the celebrations this weekend, about how the event creates inclusive opportunities and positive community impact. Did you know that we have an array of content, case studies and advice on our Business Support Hub (link in comments) about organising and running events? Dundee Pride

We’re proud to be supporting the Global Agritourism Conference 2026, in Aberdeen this week. Agritourism is a growing part of Scotland’s visitor economy, supporting rural businesses, showcasing our food and drink, and helping communities thrive all year round. As well as hearing from our Chief Executive Vicki Miller delegates were also treated to a short video showcasing just a few of Scotland’s incredible agritourism experiences. No Scotland, No Party! And the Tartan Army have shown they can DEFINITELY party in the USA. Bostonians have fallen in love with Scotland and we know many will be following our fans home - and don't just take our word for it, they say so themselves (see the video below). Hear from Jill Walker about what our team have been doing in Boston to bring the party back to Scotland. Dean's I Nairn's Oatcakes I GOOD TRAFFIC I Walker's Shortbread Ltd. Tens of thousands of Scotland fans have been the talk of the town in Boston, USA, as the men’s national team returned to the global stage. Media coverage in Massachusetts of our passionate supporters has been widespread, with locals and influencers sharing their experiences of the noise, colour and songs of the Tartan Army across social platforms. To capitalise on the attention, we’ve been inviting US visitors to “follow us home” and discover Scotland for themselves. Our tartan-wrapped taxis have been out and about on the Boston streets, generating interest among Scotland fans and locals. The USA is our biggest international market and we are using high-impact media, partnerships with travel operators and immersive storytelling, to inspire travel, strengthen industry relationships and drive demand. It's Bike Week 2026! From commuting on two wheels to heading out for a post-work ride, or getting involved in cycling adventures in their free time, many of our colleagues make cycling part of their everyday routine. We've captured a few moments from our colleagues out on their bikes, and it goes without saying that we’re lucky to have incredible routes and landscapes right on our doorstep! 🚵

With Scotland appearing at a certain global sporting tournament, we decided that the world’s oldest football deserved a wee staycation. Teaming up with Scottish tour guide and influencer Bryan Millar Walker, the 500 year old (or so) ball took in the sights of the #Highlands, #OuterHebrides and #Perthshire. Of course, it wasn’t the real ball, it was a cute soft toy replica (the real one can be seen at Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum). We hope its holiday escapades will inspire a few trips with viewers. It’s all part of our activity to engage with football fans and potential visitors from the USA and beyond (see the comments for full details). And the ball’s adventures are set to continue throughout the tournament so keep your eyes peeled 👀 #NoScotlandNoParty

You may know some of our Destination Development colleagues, they’re often out and about across Scotland working with businesses, communities and partners to support local tourism and events and help places make the most of what makes them special. So, here’s a quick look at just some of the projects, partnerships and events they’ve been involved in recently… 👀 Our Destination Development Director for Tayside and Fife, Caroline Warburton, has been out at industry meetings hearing how the season is shaping up, and listening to businesses about everything from local challenges to success stories. From breakfast networking meetings at Forbes of Kingennie Country Resorts to an outdoor meeting at Comrie Croft, it’s fair to say some meeting rooms come with better views than others. Our Regional Director for Ayrshire and Forth Valley, Lynsey Eckford, was at the launch of Lumo's new Stirling to London service, a great example of how more affordable and accessible connections can support visitors, businesses and local communities. And finally, our Destination Development Director for the South of Scotland, Gordon Smith attended The Gralloch - Scotland’s Gravel Festival in Gatehouse of Fleet (as a spectator). With 3,000 competitors from 40+ nations, it was brilliant example of Scotland playing host to world-class events and showcasing how Scotland is the Perfect Stage. What local project, partnership or event have you seen making a real difference? 📸 All images credit to Caroline, Lynsey and Gordon.
