We were delighted to welcome Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan to our South Kensington campus to launch the London Growth Plan - an ambitious and innovative roadmap designed to turbocharge our capital. The Mayor met staff and students working at our Carbon Capture Pilot Plant, a facility that demonstrates the best technology to capture and store harmful carbon dioxide. Developed in partnership with London Councils and London & Partners, the Plan was launched at an event with speeches from Alex Norris MP and Cllr Claire Holland, alongside Imperial President Professor Hugh Brady. Priorities in the plan include developing ‘industrial innovation corridors’ including the WestTech Corridor, anchored by Imperial’s major west London science and innovation locations.
