About us
Ukrainian Action is a volunteer-based UK charity and US 501c(3) non-profit dedicated to supporting the survival and recovery of Ukraine. We focus on four main areas: (1) Emergency Support (2) Humanitarian Aid (3) Rehabilitation (4) Recovery Our volunteers regularly drive vehicles such as pickup trucks and ambulances filled with humanitarian aid and medical supplies to Ukraine from the UK. Since February 2022, we have added 40 volunteer staff to organise over 60 humanitarian aid convoys from the UK to Ukraine, welcoming over 350 volunteer drivers to deliver over 320 emergency response vehicles to Ukraine. In February 2024, we launched the Ukrainian Action Heroes rehabilitation program, teaching veterans to ski & snowboard in the Carpathian Mountains. Contact us to volunteer or donate. All funds raised will continue to directly support our mission.

We are deeply proud of our tireless volunteer team at Ukrainian Action for delivering our 350th vehicle to Ukraine. Our volunteers donate ambulances, pick-up trucks and SUVs to local organisations for medical evacuations from eastern and southern Ukrainian regions under attack. Our 70th humanitarian aid convoy in 36 months departs from the UK this week with 7 more vehicles loaded with medical supplies, fire fighting and other equipment. If you don’t approve of the current geopolitical treatment of Ukraine, YOU CAN TAKE ACTION by supporting Ukrainian Action. All our work is funded by donations. https://lnkd.in/eYMZcRyd

Since the beginning, Field Work has prided itself on making films that matter. Films designed to have an impact off the screen and inspire viewers to take action. This is why our upcoming film with Matchstick Productions,Taras, matters now more than ever. It’s not just a film about war—it’s a film about the cost of defending one’s home and the struggle of returning to a world that barely understands what was lost. But the fight isn’t over. As the U.S. withdraws support for Ukraine, the narrative around the war is being twisted. Ukraine did not start this war—it has been fighting for its survival since the first shots were fired. And while politicians debate, Ukrainian soldiers are left with the consequences. Our team has seen it firsthand through our production trip in the height of the war in 2023. We met the soldiers—men and women who, just months before, were dentists, graphic designers, and teachers. We watched as they learned to load weapons, not because they wanted to, but because they had to. Their country was invaded, and no one was coming to save them. Through sheer will, Ukrainian Action volunteers have sent over 360 vehicles filled with supplies to the front lines. Now, they’re working to rebuild lives. At Dragobrat, they’re running programs to rehabilitate soldiers—teaching them to snowboard and ski, helping them find peace in the mountains after years of war. Through our film Taras, we are working to bring awareness to the struggles Ukrainian soldiers are facing and bring awareness to the work of Ukrainian Action. This is the power of film.

🤝 Cross Party Support for Ukrainian Action! Our trustees Philip Gardner and Natasha Chingareva Hartman met with politicians from across the three major UK political parties in Westminster on Wednesday 26th February. 🎥 Recently, ‘Taras’ premiered in London—a short documentary we produced with Matchstick Productions that sheds light on the mental health challenges faced by Ukrainian veterans. 🪖 With over 1.3 million Ukrainian citizens estimated to be directly involved in the war—and millions more affected in their communities—supporting veterans’ recovery is more critical than ever. 🙏Thanks to funds raised on the night and the generous support of Workday 10 veterans will have the opportunity to attend the Ukrainian Action Heroes Rehabilitation Programme. This life-changing initiative helps veterans heal from war trauma through winter sports, psychological support, and wellness programs. 🇺🇦Want to make a difference? You can host a private screening of ‘Taras’ with the added impact of supporting veterans on their road to recovery. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch. You can also directly support a veteran’s rehabilitation here: https://lnkd.in/eVkG7rpE #skihab #rehabilitation #supportukraine #ukraine

🎉Congratulations to the wonder women of Workday for completing Ukrainian Action’s first all female convoy - a 1,000 mile journey driving aid and 5 vehicles from the UK to Poland. 🛻 Departing London on Friday, Valentine’s Day, the ladies arrived in Poland on Sunday am. By Sunday evening, everything had been delivered to Ukraine by our Polish based team, with the vehicles to be used for medical evacuations and transportation of aid. 🇺🇦This journey was about teamwork, unity, and taking a stand together to support victims of war. 👉🏻Want to get your team involved?
