🙌 Hooray! Mohita Chowdhury is leaving... not your usual LinkedIn post but we are genuinely delighted for her moving to a new role at Google DeepMind. She has been an amazing part of our team since she joined straight out of the Department of Computer Science, University of Oxford MSc. There have been lots of highlights including taking our 'artificial clinical intelligence' platform into commercial use across NHS England, multilingual multinational trials and 2 NeurIPS acceptances; but her longest lasting contribution will be to be to have embedded memes in our culture 😂 We are exciting that as Mohita leaves, Jared Joselowitz will be joining our Science team to continue our research to scale the delivery of regulated autonomous healthcare. https://lnkd.in/gUsGjVNX

At Ufonia we spend a significant amount of our R&D effort building the #safety frameworks to enable our platform to deliver #artificial #clinical #intelligence. It was fantastic to have some of our work accepted for presentation at NeurIPS for the second year running.

We're really glad to see some of the results of our research collaboration with Newcastle University #linguistics Spencer Hazel and Adam Brandt in press 📖. We believe it is vital to be at the forefront of studying how to implement this powerful new technology in healthcare, so that patients get the best care possible.

The Benefits? ⏰ Efficiency: Dora frees up time by handling routine follow-ups. 💸 Cost Savings: Using Dora is cheaper than traditional in-person appointments. 🧑⚕️Patient Satisfaction: Patient feedback and found most participants were happy with the AI follow-up. 🎯Accuracy: Dora's assessments are highly accurate and align with doctors' opinions. We had a brilliant time sharing some of our #AI #research at the Rice Ken Kennedy Institute "AI in Health Conference" in #Houston last week. Yajie Vera H. presented work conducted with Houston Methodist (thanks to Andrew Lee, Homer Quintana and their teams) combining quantitative and qualitative evaluation of #genAI responses to patient questions. Madison Putman and Nick de Pennington met with our other collaborators, including Baylor College of Medicine where clinical trials will begin soon. A great few days at The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) annual meeting in #Barcelona. It was an honour to run an instructional course on the use of #LLMs and #AI in cataract care alongside Dr Sarah Maling and Mike Adams. Aisling Higham presented x4 😅, including the first results of our multi-lingual work with Rudy Nuijts and his team at Maastricht UMC+; and to top it off Mor Dickman included us as a case-study his #plenary presentation on the future of #telemedicine in #ophthalmology.
