We were delighted to welcome Amanda Prichard, Chief Executive of NHS England at our annual leadership and workforce summit this afternoon, delivering her last planned public speaking engagement as CEO. Amanda reflected on the past few weeks which have been a 'test of leadership', but highlighted the opportunity the 10 year plan presents to think long term. She said that any credible theory of change for the NHS has to work for the people who work for the NHS, and support leaders at all levels of the NHS to drive improvement, by giving people the tools and encouragement to try new things. She added that for her, the people who work in the NHS are the real reason to have confidence in the future of the NHS.
