As part of my Scottish tour, I popped into see one of the #ktp project teams at the University of Edinburgh.
The #ktp project I went to learn about is looking at how to develop small scale offshore carbon capture opportunities. Although small the academic team with business partners, The Carbon Removers, pack quite a punch with their ambition, and I’d like to wish them the best of luck with their project as their associate starts in the next few weeks. I can't wait to see how things work out!
I remember when this project crossed my desk last year, it caught my eye because the application clearly articulated the challenges and outlined the approach the team planned to take. If you can tell us clearly what you are trying to achieve and marry that with a great business case and / or social value, then you've taken your first steps towards #ktp success!
Best of luck to the whole team, including:
Stuart Haszeldine, Professor of Carbon Capture and Storage at University of Edinburgh
Fiona Pilgrim, who supports researchers at The University of Edinburgh
Jim Berryman, KTP Knowledge Transfer Adviser
Anne-Marie Haughey,East of Scotland KTP Centre
Raphael Pfaeltzer, Chief Operations Officer The Carbon Removers
Stuart Gilfillan, KTP Supervisor, School of GeoSciences, University of Edinburgh
