The ROH is focused heavily on research – we have a dedicated team supporting research and clinical trials, alongside a laboratory on site - but it is time intensive and the work that underpins our research requires support. Our Research Fellows help with this and have contributed to the 50% increase in research outputs from the ROH over the last few years. Find out more about their role and how they are supporting research efforts in Orthopaedics 🔬 🦴 https://lnkd.in/eS842iwK

Less pain, more independence, life-changing care.
About us
Less pain, more independence, life-changing care. The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest specialist orthopaedic units in Europe. We offer planned orthopaedic surgery to people locally, nationally and internationally. We have been at the forefront of orthopaedic care for two centuries, pioneering new surgical techniques and advancing treatment for people with bone and joint disorders. That heritage of innovation and excellence still drives us today; we continue to push boundaries to deliver the best care possible. It is our aim to be the first choice for orthopaedic care. The Royal Orthopaedic Charity exists to support NHS patients, their families and carers, as well as provide specialist training, equipment and knowledge to staff at the ROH. We’ve been shortlisted in the Scope awards! These awards celebrate the work disabled people and organisations are doing to bring about important change. Alexandra Gilder, Deputy Director of Finance and Chair of the ABLE (Disability) Network at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, commented: "Scope is a leading charity advocating for disability rights across the UK, so being shortlisted for their Inclusive Workforce Award is such a huge honour. It highlights the incredible progress we’ve made at ROH, supported throughout by members of the ABLE Network, in raising awareness of disability and of reasonable adjustments for our disabled staff and patients. We’re so proud to be recognised and can’t wait for the awards in May!" The ROH has been recognised for work led by the ABLE (Disability) Network, such as introducing a staff passport for reasonable adjustments, an educational campaign raising awareness for specific disabilities, as well as the Beyond the Stigma exhibition which has encouraged open conversations about disability.
