The Los Angeles Philharmonic and Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel won the award for Best Orchestral Performance, Gabriela Ortiz took home the award for Best Contemporary Classical Composition and the album, engineered by Alexander Lipay & Dmitriy Lipay, also won the GRAMMY for Best Classical Compendium. Last weekend our new series Platoon Presents at Kings Place launched with a sold-out performance of Vivaldi’s masterpiece ‘The Four Seasons’ - performed by virtuoso violinist Daniel Pioro & Manchester Camerata, with specially commissioned poetry written by Sir Michael Morpurgo, recited by Sir Stephen Fry. The Times called the performance ‘a thrilling new twist on The Four seasons’. The new album is out now on Platoon. Next up is the brilliant Attacca quartet - join us on 14 March.
