The Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato AGCM conditionally cleared, in Phase II, the acquisition of Edison Stoccaggio by Snam S.p.A. (Case C12686). The AGCM concluded that the remedies proposed by Snam concerning the gas storage modulation service adequately overcome the competitive implications of the merger. Oxera assisted Snam on this transaction, working alongside BonelliErede and Chiomenti. Our economic assessment focused on the role of sector regulation. The Oxera team on this transaction was led by Roberto Alimonti and comprised also Alfredo Macchiati, Rebecca Vitelli, Viola Conte, and Andrea Bianchi. For more information, see the AGCM’s decision: https://lnkd.in/eAqS4txA.
