On Wednesday we were honoured and privileged that One Financial Solutions were invited to a very, very special event hosted by Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal. Patron, Marine Society & Sea Cadets and Admiral of the Sea Cadet Corps. Hosted at Buckingham Palace for a special evening dedicated to the Sea Cadets. We were extremely fortunate that our MD, Wayne Griffiths, Our Head or Operations Danielle Cook, Head of Propositions Richard Hamilton & Head of Strategic Partnership & Armed Forces Lead Mark French as well as many of our own guests were able to attend this incredible event. We would personally like to say the biggest thank you to the Sea Cadets, to Martin Coles & Daniel McAllister for organising such a magnificent event. Of course a very special thank you to HRH The Princess Royal, who spoke so passionately around what vital role the Sea Cadets has in society today. The event itself was fantastic and seeing so many of the fantastic youth of today who are part of the Sea Cadets and hearing around how much it influences, directs them and gives them confidence is a truly Inspirational. and the work across the length and breadth of the country. Today we are celebrating here at One Financial Solutions as one of our own Alice Clift. Alice joined One FS In April 2021 as part of our Pension and Investment Admin team. By January 2022 she was leading that very team. Her continued desire to learn and develop and with the great support of OFS team, Alice decided to undertake her Financial Exams starting in April 2024. Alice has shown her determination by completing all 6 exams within 12 months while balancing her day job and being a full time mum too! Amazing! We are all so proud of you Alice, Huge Congratulations. An absolute rising Star. Head of Propositions Richard Hamilton said "I am absolutely delighted that Alice has successfully passed the final exam in obtaining the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. I know how hard Alice worked to achieve this fantastic milestone, ensuring a first time pass rate in every exam and now gives Alice an excellent opportunity to further her career in helping clients with their financial planning needs" We continue to strive as a firm to recruit great talent but is also so important to develop our existing team. Last Thursday the One Financial Solutions team got together for the first time this year in our Quarter 1 meeting. Hosted by our amazing friends & partners at Foresight Group, was once again an privilege to be at their amazing office on the 23rd Floor of the Shard. Our day kicked off by our One-FS host's Danielle Cook (Head of Operations) & Richard Hamilton (Head of Propositions) who did a brilliant job compering the day. Thank to our host and in particular a great session by Matt Sedgwick from Foresight and Nathan Sweeney from Marlborough who ran two great sessions on current market conditions and great options for our clients. Thought provoking and practical from both. But the day was very much talking around the Record Breaking year we had as a firm in 2024! so many great highlights. The day focused on some key attributes. Richard Hamilton talked around what a year it had been, the growth as an organisation and some of the challenges and milestones we achieved to reach our new record. Richard went on to say "In 2024 we had a record year as a firm, with so many outstanding performances, The whole team have been exceptional" Mark French (Head of Strategic Partnerships) talked around the many amazing partnerships and initiatives we have launched and begun working with over the past 9 months and how this continues to take our propositions to a new level. Our new Head of Compliance Paul Saville ran through how we as a firm are continuing to out our customers at the heart of what we do and to keep ourselves up to the highest standards, while making sure that everyone in the firm gets the very best support going forward. Finally, our MD Wayne Griffiths talk around the continued growth of One-FS, through innovation, acquisition and embracing technological enhancements, that will make us even better. All in all a massively engaging and upbeat day which finished on a high, We have had an outstanding 2024 and 2025 is looking set to be even better. Everyone here at One Financial Solutions is excited to announce the arrival of Paul Saville as Head of Compliance to the firm.   With a career spanning nearly three decades in financial services, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise and is well-equipped to uphold the high standards of advice provided by the company.   He has joined after leaving 2plan wealth management Ltd where he held the position of Head of Regulation.    Paul has been in financial services since 1996, starting out in a client facing role as a Financial Consultant with the Prudential, servicing a client bank as a financial adviser.    Paul's next step after advising was into Compliance and Training and Competency work, and spent time at various networks including M&E and Sesame covering various roles such as Financial Promotions, T&C, Supervision and Training.   Paul moved to 2plan in 2008 and helped 2plan grow the company from a small number of advisers to over 650 as it stands today.    "I truly believe that the very heart of what we do is to put our customers first and ensure that advice is delivered for the very best customer outcome, which is why I chose to join this great firm, because that's what we do" - Paul Saville "To be able to acquire Paul, who has a mass of experience and quality to One-FS shows the direction and vision of the firm and puts us in great and trusted hands.
